Hi all

I am looking for some advise ... My twin girls are 15 months old and we are looking for daycare in the Peckham rye east dulwich area. We are really struggling to find anything as the waiting lists are monstrous for 1 but for 2 it's painful. Some lists we have been on for over a year. Does anyone know of a nursery with poss availability or newly opening?

Thanks in advance

My 17 month old daughter goes to destiny kids nursery on Copleston road. Fairly small nursery but can't praise them enough.

Not to sure about waiting lists but my daughter started 2 weeks after intial viewing.

Any questions, feel free to pm me.

Also there Ofsted report was really good.

I also would like to ask about this. We soon will move here (we hope to move to West Dulwich probably) and have so far looked at Dulwich Day Nursery. It has places so could any body tell about their experiences with it? Or reommend any other with places in this area? Or should we just get this while it has places!? Thank you so much!

Thanks for the feedback does anyone have a rough cost for a nanny I have heard it is about ?10 an hour net so with taxes on top for a 7.30 - 18.00 day that does add up quite a bit!

Does anyOne know the opening hours of little fingers so nice person dropped me a note to say they had signed up there child but I cant respond to the message for some reason.

My daughter went to My Fav Nursery, we only left because of personal circumstances. We gave 1 month notice but knowing it was a long waiting list we asked if we could leave right away and the admin lady said no. The key workers are amazing and my daughter loved every single one of them but the admin staff is terrible and their level of common sense is non existent!

    • Some suggestions for mandatory action might include:- 1. Permit retailers to display facial images on the premises  of previous offenders at their local store. 2. Sound an alert and display images on screens inside the store when the FR flags up a person entering who is on the national database of shoplifters. 3. Physically bar recognised shoplifters from the premises. Should they attempt to force entry then charges should be pressed under aggravated trespass, which  a criminal offence under the Criminal Justice and Public Order Act 1994. 4. Change the law to allow retailers to have enhanced powers of citizens arrest. What would you suggest? The UK seems to have the most lenient policy towards shoplifting , probably because of other demands on the police force. On the plus side, they may have more time for it now that non-crime hate incidents will no longer be investigated. Other countries, such as the USA have much more sever punishment as does Singapore where repeat offenders or aggravated cases can be sentenced to up to 3 years in prison, a fine, or both.
    • No, we'd have to be in a police state.  You'd have to get this made law.  Unless it is in Reform's policies.  I'll check. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/live-facial-recognition-technology-to-catch-high-harm-offenders Not government policy
    • There is a sign outside what was Megan's saying that whatever is replacing it will have an "all day concept." What the (expletive deleted) is an "all day concept", and how does it differ from being open all day? For (expletive deleted)'s sake 🙄
