Theres no need for profanity- I know exactly what it means being ethnic Scot

I am a wage slave sadly. a cog in the wheel of capital.

Im not actually as bitter as I come across, but do over egg the bile to wind up some of the victims who lurk on this boards ( and many others like it )

Don't worry about it Snorky, and certainly no offence was taken. I am working at the mo to be honest, but have had to pull out of a few dates due to my illness. PM me your address and I'll send you a few tickets whenever I'm in your area (Dulwich Comedy Club) to cheer you up! (but one thinks will he be brave to come introduce himself? ha)

    • That's a shame as it was a nice local place that provided something different to pizzas, pasta or burgers. We are still fortunate to have a few independents such as Kartuli, Monkatsu, Evi's and Kokum but it does feel we are getting towards use them or lose them to the chains.
    • Big recommendation for Niko, got the job done a day or so after I contacted him with taps I'd already bought but wasn't sure they were suitable.  Friendly and knowledgeable as well.

    • I found the timeline shared here really useful when I was buying and converting my loft, so thank you to Nick86 for posting it! My loft conversion is now complete, and I received building control sign-off some time ago. However, I’m now stuck in a drawn-out back-and-forth with Southwark Council over various additional sign-offs they say are needed. It’s been incredibly frustrating -  very disorganised, and every time I send them everything they request, weeks later they come back with something new. I've asked for one clear and concise several times but it makes no difference.  Has anyone else been through this with Southwark Council? If so, do you have any tips for getting it over the line? At the moment, I can’t proceed with the lease amendments or update the Land Registry until this is resolved. It's truly maddening!
