Just passed my test today at the age of 49 - first time - and over the moon. I had lessons in my early twenties but on moving to London, didn't need to drive and so gave up. Then, with the pandemic, it seemed like a good idea to take it up again. Of course, my lessons were interrupted by the lockdowns but we persevered.

I can wholeheartedly recommend my driving instructor, Nick. We started off in his car with dual controls but very quickly - because I'd had lessons years ago - we were able to have lessons in my own car. Nick is patient, and works really hard to put you at your ease. He stays calm, whatever happens, and is very re-assuring. I always felt safe when out lessons, even without the dual control. Fresh from passing my practical driving test and I can absolutely concur that Nick of Nicholas Driving Academy is great! Having been in London for 7 years after living and driving in New York City for most of my life, having to do the whole test thing was annoying and frustrating. Nick understood that I was an experienced driver, but also knew that with experience and driving in a different country come "bad" habits and different rules. He patiently and cheerfully got me in shape to drive British-style. And I finally have my British license!!!

If anyone has got a New Year's Resolution to learn to drive, I can recommend Nicholas Driving Academy. I had lessons with Nick in between lockdowns and passed my test about a year ago - I'm an oldster, and maybe a bit lacking in confidence because of that, but I passed first time with only two minors. Nick knows how to put you at ease, he's relaxed and really focuses on the practical stuff of actually driving a car, rather than learning a lot of theory.

    • James  may have initiated the boards but there would have been a group of people who would have taken in turn to keep boards up to date. When locks and boards were vandalised  it took some while (around 2 years) for the council to repair/replace and many of the group who maintained them, moved/died. I know James was not seen so much in ED due to  family  illness/bereavement  and I believe he also changed his job.

Consulted my grand daughter, who examined my foot and advised that verruca was very small and looked as though it would go away itself. She checked my feet a couple of months later - no sign of a verruca.
