Dad was always too obvious - altho' where was he between 1 and 3am? I wondered about mum because of the dream she had right at the beginning - or was that just a mother's sense? But maybe she and daniel shared a sleepwalking gene... Then there's bloke from "two pints..." - weird but not much of a suspect since I keep expecting him to say something ridiculously inane and funny. Or Chloe's boyf? Or Birds of a Feather lady, she has the skateboard after all...

Anyway, it's brilliant, isn't it?

Reggie, you have a point, tonight's episode certainly puts him squarely in the frame. As it does with Birds of a Feather lady, vicar, and, most pointedly, the man from the newsagents (where do we know him from?)

Then there's Mark's plumber mate who was clearly keen to frame Mr Newsagent, and of course there's Tom still to consider - so basically, EDF, I think we're saying we don't know?

At least ITV have finally turned something out that's worth watching.

Especially when he's a Time Traveller (Rory) in disguise.

Also David Bradley (the newspaper man with a past) was the caretaker in the Harry Potter films.

Pauline Q of high tar fag fame; Mark's side kick, definitely something to hide; Ellie's husband for all the reasons Reggie already gave - I'm still undecided but reckon these are top 3 suspects. Oh, and the vicar, so that's top 4, in no particular order. Which means, still have no idea!

What about Becca Fisher, if there's a 2 hr gap in Mark's alibi then is the same true for her? What's the point of her if she's not a suspect?

I'd have thought any snarling villain is too obvious so no to pauline 'come walk my dog and leave your skateboard as a glimpse of subsequent plot deviec' quirk and mark's 'get orrrrf moi laaand, yier dead meat moi luvver' sidekick.

I thought the vicar was too obvious but they've been giving us a dose of all round community good guy so he's shot to number two in my list.

I'd say Ellie's husband as only real all out good guy so far, even get's on with grumpy rozza, has to be top of the list.

I reckon plumber chappie was shooting albatross from boat accompanied by two lads. He then turns to showing off his William Tell qualities, balancing a mobile phone on their heads and rocking motion means he accidentally kills boy one and mobile is lost. He frightens boy two into silence.

Whole thing witnessed by Pauline while out walking dog on cliffs. She is now blackmailing plumber. Boat set on fire to hide evidence.

Vicar will catch a large fish which has swallowed said phone - photos on phone will incriminate plumber in albatross-shooting incident which is probably illegal and he will crack under questioning and confess to manslaughter. [Can't have too many miracles where large fish are concerned]

Blood in beach hut actually from earlier boyish blood brothers scene as a result of watching too many westerns. The pain caused by this made boy one run away leaving his skateboard behind which Pauline, after a bout of energetic dusting, rides home to the caravan which is downhill. She is too embarrassed to confess.

Can't work the postman into this scenario so will have to have a rethink.

    • It has come to this author’s attention that the world of 4+ admissions — that most enigmatic of educational rites — continues to bewilder even the most composed of parents. Fear not. For in a former life, I was not merely a humble observer, but a seasoned educator of over twenty years, and Head of Pre-Prep for a distinguished dozen. Now, with quill exchanged for touchscreen, I have taken to that most modern of salons — Instagram — to dispense guidance, answer frequently whispered questions, and illuminate the shadowy corners of school selection with clarity and calm. Each post bears my signature twist: a blend of insight, levity, and the occasional raised eyebrow. Should you find yourself adrift in the sea of admissions, I suggest you peruse my latest dispatch. • Perhaps Gooseygreeny was not familiar with the wildlife before Gala was imposed on the park, since when its value to wildlife has deteriorated. The Park had never been disturbed before, as the council had respected it as a Site of Importance for Nature Conservation, so only the Common was licensed by them as a site for events. The first time Gala held their event, there was a tree with woodpeckers nesting in it right in the middle of the main field they used and thrushes, blackbirds and great tits nesting within the shrubs and trees immediately surrounding the field. The woodpeckers were thriving on ants from the anthills in the grass. To those of us who used to enjoy watching the wildlife, it was very obviously a Site of Importance for a variety of birds. Despite being accessed by the public and their dogs, it had been relatively undisturbed,  which was one of the main reasons why it was so special and why I have been opposed to the Gala festival being held during the bird nesting season.
    • So dangerous!    Can you be more specific about the road this was in and when you report it?  Maybe there’s some CCTV footage available
