Oh I had been thinking about posting a couple of things for a bit and now remembered what they were:

Kenny Rogers - Just Dropped In (To See What Condition My Condition Is In)

and in honour of the fact that the London Paper announced he was playing gigs at the o2 dome in December:

Bruce Springsteen - Highway Patrolman

Speaking of surreal vids from that era:

Soundgarden ? Blackhole Sun

Or just good tunes from a little bit earlier without a surreal vid although it should have had one:

Pixies - Alison

I?ve been trying to track down Camper van Beethoven?s video version of Pictures of Matchstick Men but can?t find it.

    • I suspect it is really difficult as stuff gets ground in and that is the problem. My own view is the event should be moved to a more suitable site. It is fairly clear they want to expand, I think that is the biggest problem, the risk of the event getting extended or other event organisers getting in on the action. It is great that the barriers are down and the park can be fully enjoyed again. The damage to grass does not seem as bad this year; I suspect that is because there has been much less rainfall.
    • We used Tom King recently to repair two light switches and have used him in the past for moving a plug socket. He's a lovely guy as well as the utmost professional. Very reliable and helpful, talks you through what's needed with a repair and charges reasonable rates, especially as some electricians charge the earth in this area now. Highly recommended!
