Getting rid of old clothes etc?

Hi! Not sure if this is in the right section but does anyone know where I can take old clothes etc? I was gonna take them to a charity shop but have read that a lot of places refuse to take stuff and I really have a lot of bags. I was thinking maybe I could do a jumble sale or something like that if there is one coming up? Main problem is I don't have a car so I want to be sure I can get rid of them before I walk somewhere!

You could phone or visit the charity shop first to check?

To the best of my knowledge the larger Trinity Hospice shop in Lordship Lane is still accepting things?

I took about 6 bags full of clothes to the Sue Ryder shop next to Sainsbury's in Forest Hill a couple of weeks ago with no problems.

I regularly take bags of clothes to the two charity shops in Peckham and have never had them refused. First time I've heard of this.

We never refuse donations of clothing.

We have a shop in sydenham and west norwood.
