I've been with 306 for 8 years along with my elderly mother. They've adapted the way they treat her as she finds it difficult to handle which has been excellent.

One of the GPs Dr Kolah is excellent. Reception staff are largely good as well.

I really didn’t like TJ - the setting is noisy and intimidating it feels like going into hospital. I also had unhelpful treatment from 2 doctors. I changed to DMC Chadwick Road and I think they’re brilliant. White and blue walls, natural light, human interaction and a kind, professional approach it made me feel at ease.

For the purposes of the ONS Covid study, it is a hospital. Do remember that the surgery is co-located with a number of out-stationed hospital departments (e.g. phlebotomy) moved from the old Dulwich Hospital. The GP Surgery is just one of the tenants of the site.

TJ is awful. Near impossible to get appointments, unhelpful receptionists, only phone appointments when you actually are offered an appointment.

We moved to DMC which is as you say also awful. They also appear connected as I was offered an appointment at TJ when the appointments had gone at DMC.

I know people happy with the Gardens and the surgery on Lordship Lane which someone above has recommended.

Shameful what has become of our GP surgeries in the last few years. Underfunding coming to the fore and European GPs left in droves due to Brexit.

All of the ED surgeries are part of Improving Health Limited which is a GP federation of 16 practices in Dulwich, Peckham, Nunhead and Camberwell that supports each other. So for example 306 Medical Centre is independent, but can refer patients to other surgeries such as Tessa Jowell. During the Covid vaccination programme, patients could go to Tessa Jowell or the Lister Health Centre in Peckham for vaccinations.

Happy to be corrected but I believe SELDOC and the GP surgery at TJ are separate entities and provide different services. SELDOC provide out of hours services and were previously based in Dulwich Hospital whereas the GP surgery was formerly in Melbourne Grove.

Edit: also South East London CCG do not “run” the GP surgery:a clinical commissioning group is, or was, an NHS body responsible for ensuring the health needs of an area are provided. The CCGs were replaced in July by Integrated Care Boards.

The same GP, Dr. Jonathan Love, who was in charge of Melbourne Grove, also in charge of Tessa Jowell. They also took over another GP surgery before they moved to the new TJ building. They also have the same practice manager, who I don’t have faith in. From what I remember, the practice manager is not solely based at at TJ but also works from a surgery at Camberwell called Parkside. That could have changed since Covid.

Not ideal.

Parkside and Tessa Jowell are both owned by Omnes.

306 definitely sounds much better than some locally. I took my son to TJ the other day for his polio booster and the receptionists were rude (stressed but no excuse) and some appointments had been moved to Lister so some patients arriving to find they were in the wrong place.

Melbourne Grove as it was had its issues but TJ is atrocious.

    • What was he doing on the stage at Glastonbury? Or on the stage at the other concert in Finsbury Park? Grinning like a Cheshire cat whilst pissed and stoned 20 somethings on the promise of free internet sung-- Oh Jeremy Corbyn---  What were his policies for Northern mining towns with no jobs or infrastructure? Free Internet and university places for youngsters. What were his other manifesto pledges? Why all the ambiguity over Brexit?  I didn't like Thatcher, Blair or May or Tony but I respected them as politicians because they stood by what they believed in. I respect all politicians across the board that stick to their principles. Corbyn didn't and its why he got  annihilated at the polls. A socialist, anti imperialist and anti capitalist that said he voted for an imperialist and pro capitalist cabal. He refused to say how he'd vote over and over again until the last knockings. He did so to appease the Islington elite and middle class students he was courting. The same people that were screaming that Brexit was racist. At the same time the EU were holding black and Asian immigrants in refugee camps overseas but not a word on that! Corbyn created and courted a student union protest movement that screamed at and shouted down anyone not on the left . They claimed Starmer and the centre right of labour were tories. He didn't get elected  because he, his movement and policies were unelectable, twice. He turned out not to have the convictions of his politics and died on his own sword.    Reform won't win an election. All the idiots that voted for them to keep out Labour actually enabled Labour. They'll be back voting tory next time.    Farage wouldn't be able to make his millions if he was in power. He's a very devious shyster but I very much doubt he'd actually want the responsibility that governance requires.
    • The purge of hard left members that were part of Corbyn's, Mcdonnel's and Lansmans momentum that purged the party of right wing and centrist members. That's politics. It's what Blair did to win, its what Starmer had to do to win. This country doesn't vote in extreme left or right governments. That's partly why Corbyn lost  We're pretty much a centrist bunch.  It doesn't make it false either. It's an opinion based on the voting patterns, demography and statistics. Can you explain then why former mining constituencies that despise the tories voted for them or abstained rather than vote for Corbyns Labour?  What is the truth then? But he never got elected!!! Why? He should have been binned off there and then. Why he was allowed to hang about is an outrage. I hold him party responsible for the shit show that we've had to endure since.
    • Depends on what the Barista says doesnt it? There was no physical confrontation with the driver, OP thinks she is being targetted when she isnt. These guys work min wage under strict schedules so give them a break unless they damage your stuff
    • CPR Dave, attendance records are available on Southwark's website. Maggie Browning has attended 100% of meetings. Jon Hartley has attended 65%.
