Boris Johnson moving to Dulwich Village? What have we done to deserve this? ;-)

Recommended Posts

Stradella Rd is all Herne Hill.

Burbage Rd north of the railway bridge is Herne Hill.

Burbage Rd between the railway bridge and Turney Rd is Dulwich, but not Dulwich Village.

I stand corrected 🤣

But none of it is East Dulwich, so I agree with Malumbu that the thread should be in the lounge 🤣

And please God BJ comes nowhere near ED.

Is this not a major local interest story?

I do think it is ironic that Malumbu, someone who neither lives in Dulwich (nor Southwark for that matter) suggests something to be lounged on the basis it is not in East Dulwich. By that measure should Malumbu not be confined to the lounge permanently as well.....;-)

I heard it was Stradella Road... but that was third hand....

The local scuttlebutt is that it’s this house

Overlooked like crazy from behind. I doubt they’ll move in. It’s a snipers dream.

The current rumour in the press is Herne Hill. Close but no coconut.

Stradella Road runs between Dulwich Village and Herne Hill, so if it is correct that he is moving to that road, it would depend which end of the road it was.

I was told by a friend with family living there that it's definitely Stradella Road

That wasn’t an escort. That was someone he is helping with their computer

House on junction of Stradella and Burbage according to a builder who saw him arriving in black Range Rover with escort. Apparently.

Who cares, it's more gossiping by people who have nothing better to do about something that is unimportant and irrelevant. Probably the same crew who slagged off Poundland opening on Lordship Lane, get a life for dears sake.

well said...........and so what if he lives in dulwich are the people of dulwich better then others who don't live in dulwich ?? i would like to know as the dulwich people seem to know

I’d like to know if he paid cash for it as he seemingly did for his other recent real estate acquisition. If

that's a bit nosy (I’d like to know if he paid cash for it) so what if he did ? do you tell people what you pay for

He won't have paid a penny for it.

There'll be some billionaire Brexit backer / Tory donor / media mogul who has bought it as a "gift" for him.

Really don't understand why peeps are interested in that scummy sh*t bag liar?

Well it's useful to know where the paparazzi are going to be camped out!

(I’d like to know if he paid cash for it) so what if he did ?

Before he entered No.10, he was camped out at Carrie's flat in Camberwell because he'd lost everything in his latest divorce. In No.10, he shook the tree among donors in an opaque scheme to decorate his residence. If after No.10 he was plonking down cash to buy multimillion pound properties when his legitimate earnings could not have been the source of those funds, that would be very suspicious.

There are reports that he has received £5 million since leaving No 10 seven months ago

    • It wasn't an antique and bric-a-bac shop but an antique market with a number of different traders, the cafe supported all the dealers in bringing in custom, and was good enough to generate trade for them. It was Rodney Franklin's and his partners enterprise, he previously had an antique shop in Queenstown Road in Battersea. His late wife ran the cafe (she was a very fine actress, it was a 'resting' job).  It was on the corner of a junction on the left as you head towards Camberwell. And almost opposite, if memory serves at all, an MFI style furniture outlet.
    • i used to go there in the late 80's and '90s (?) the food was served cafeteria style and there was limited choice, but what there was alays tasted amazing!  The garden was an absolute paradise, you could sit in it to lunch in the summer!  i've tried to locate its site but Walworth Road has changed so much since then - does anyone remember the house number?
