Callaghan...tricky.

Probably he bequeathed us Thatcher....and the rest is as they say.....

and thinking about it, given the electorate's reluctance to go labour after his term, I'd say Blair was a direct result of his premiership.

Admittedly small pickings, sort of legacy through omission.

I think he meant that all the major parties in the UK now follow a Thatcherite line in their policies. And he'd be right.

el pibe said "Gordon Brown certainly left an indelible mark as chancellor, I'm struggling to think of much of a legacy in terms of his premiership.

Bigotgate....erm no, can't think of anything."

I s'pose GB'd argue that he saved the world financial system with his interventions and the conferences of world leaders he arranged back in 2008/9 ????

And Starmer piled in very heavily on Johnson for that. If he doesn't resign himself now he is an enormous hypocrite and this will be very damaging  indeed.
    • Yep Peter Mandelson is officially toast.  But what now MUST happen is that the title of Lord and all the privileges which go with that should be removed immediately. It's a long way up the pole but it's an even longer way back down as Mandelson is finding out.
