Advice needed: Mobility scooter to donate

Hi everyone,

I am hoping someone may be able to point me in the right direction!

We were very kindly lent a mobility scooter on the understanding we would donate it to a cancer sufferer after we used it. This is proving tricky as none of the hospices I have tried are interested in it (health and safety issues). I wondered if anyone had any suggestions on where I could donate this or indeed knew anyone who would benefit from it. It is a lightweight scooter, that is easy to transport, in really good condition.

When my father in law died we donated his mobility scooter to his local Salvation Army centre. I believe they then lent

It to those in need as and when they needed it.

If there is any flexibility about the recipient, my mother has advanced heart failure and would really benefit from this, esp if it can be put in the boot of a car. I can't push her in a wheelchair (bad back) and she can't walk far at all. But I quite understand if this is a cancer-specific thing.
