woodie
is there something in the water?Theres always been the odd hot shot on the roads round here. Last weekend there where several hit and runs that woodie family members individually witnessed. My one was near fatal. A bloke in a mini by rye hotel who tried to skip the one way system there and took a motor bike/rider out. Drove off and parked, rang the girlfriend and said 'report the car stolen immediately". As another motorcyclist had witnessed too, got the number, the arrest was made. The whole thing was so quick and shocking. the weekend went from there. Crazies on forest hill road, peckham rye consort road (think its called by scutari). Kid we think hit, police knocking on doors for witness..Just seems like homicidal driving is on an up. spadetownboy
i think there is something in the water and you were drinking it before you posted, you want to edit that post and try and make it sound semi sensible. Sandperson
Stb, makes perfect sense to me. The driving in the area is getting worse. Noone stops for amber lights (they barely pause for reds) and road rage and selfish driving just seem to be get worse. wee quinnie
I've noticed when out on my bicyclette that people seem to drive a lot more erratically when it is windy for some reason. Cassius
As for using zebra crossings - you really are taking your life in your hands. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3168-local-driving/#findComment-98730 Share on other sites
jumpinjackflash
This post has just reminded me.To the idiotic cyclist (if you view this forum) who thinks he is above the law when it comes to stopping at RED lights. You jumped the red light at junction of Forest Hill Rd/Wood Vale last Tuesday around 6:30pm when it was my right of way. I almost ran you over. You then proceeded to do it again further down the road and you were almost run over by a car exiting Dunstans Rd.Red lights apply to both cars and BIKES you stupid prick. Nero
Agree about people being amber gamblers and not stoppin at zebras. If noone stops for me, I wave at them in a very exaggerated, friendly way, just so they get the message that I think they are selfish morons. It is VERY satisfying! Try it. Keef
I just scream C*NT!!! At them... Also satisfying ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3168-local-driving/#findComment-98783 Share on other sites
Nero
I agree, but I'd say they are expecting you to be nasty, but when you wave and smile at them like a long lost relative, they feel puzzled, then embarrassed. Shame and guilt is a better way of getting them to change their behaviour than making them angry. Just give it a go. lozzyloz
Shouldn't you blank out the car reg? Now he can sue you for tens of thousands of pounds for invasion of privacy and publicly disclosing details of his private vehicle. Better get a good lawyer.
