Is there any truth to this story about Kirk Douglas's son?

He was doing a stand-up set in, I think The Comedy Store and was taking a portion of heckle. He decided to own up to his parentage and informed the audience, "Hey simmer down, I'm Kirk Douglas's son"

Apparently one person stood up and said "No, I'm Kirk Douglas's son", followed by another who repeated the phrase, and then was picked up by the rest of the audience. It carried on until Douglas Jnr left the stage. It's probably apochryphal, but like so many of those stories I hope it's true.

Can anyone confirm it. Or am I just a mug for believing it could be so?

    • But people getting up for work or if they’re a carer having to get up after a few hours sleep would know it’s gone 11pm as they’re kept awake by selfish people!
    • I agree. Midnight I can understand when it's celebrating the start of a new year (under whatever system) but not otherwise. Though re the wildlife, it's going to affect them whatever time it is, I don't suppose they know it's gone 11pm!

    • Yes I get your gist, but maybe you could just name a few of the very many you mention? I'm not sure why you find it very concerning that somebody would leave Labour for the Greens? So have many people, including me.
