I was taking the 68 into town yesterday and I noticed, on top of two of the bus shelters, these little weird pin cushion- things. I think it was up Kingsway past Holborn. On one bus shelter was an electric blue pin-cushion-y thing with spikes come out of it. And just along a few bus shelters down the road there is was again in a different colour. I've seen odd stuff before on top of the shelters, not just your usual deteriorating banana peal or a shoe, just stuff that makes you go "huh? How did that get up there?"

I?m wondering if anyone else has noticed weird things on top of the bus shelters whilst they travel around our great capital? Is this just me?

Scylla

I have only noticed the decaying rubbish, but I think there should be green roofs on every bus shelter, or at least in places wherre they are less likely to be vandalised. I had the idea a long time ago, then saw that it's already happened in Sheffield on a very small scale. It'd be relatively easy and would increase biodiversity in the city.

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
