I was amazed to find out that there are 8 million dogs in the UK. There must be more cats- no wonder there are hardly any birds around!

Yes that's because it's "scoop the poop" awareness time by various organisations who've had enough of this (dog) shit.

I have to put my half pennys worth in here...I'm not a dog lover. If we allowed children to poo everywhere like we do dogs, there would be an uproar about unhealthy it is. (Not to mention potential child abuse/neglect)

Yet we allow many of our fellow citizens to foul up the parks and paths with dog poo! WHY??

I love dogs :)I have 3 and I always pick up. All dog owners should pick up after their dogs, lazy and arrogant that they don't, if you can't be bothered to pick up then don't have a dog, simple as that.

frequent poo incidents in the park on pram wheels, on footballs etc and also daily avoidance on pavement on walk to school really isn't helping the pro dog community

if you have a dog, please clean up after it and keep it on a lead in public spaces where there are children
