Here is a taster of what last year's event involved. The video is mp4 only, sorry.

On a bit of a mission now. Does anyone recognise 11 of 14 (the Marine who took Barry home) or his mate in the checked shirt?

Guys no need to worry.......I know of Barry the Bears wherabouts! My mate Luke (the marine) has just got back to the U.K. and he apparently has Barry safe at his girlfriends house. I'll make sure you get it back prior to next weekend......oh yes, and mine's a Guinness ;)

I fully intend on improving on a shoddy 8th place finish last year!!

This makes me unaccountably happy....

I gather there may be folk in attendance I would very much like to meet, notwithstanding the loveliness of perennials like MrBen, numbers, SJ, HmB (who won't want to be caught next to me) and everyone.

Errm, being 'Celtic' isn't mandatory is it?

Making the ben & holly dilemma really hard.

The Barry Barry Amble...you never leave.

    • I definitely have some grass cuttings, and various bits of plant cuttings etc, which has been piling up in my garden. I’ve been meaning to bag it up, but don’t have much time on account of two small children.  if that helps?
    • Walking around Belgravia and Knightsbridge stopping to look at window displays in Harvey Nics and Harrods. Tea at The Ritz and Burlington Arcade. Theatre without doubt - concert at Royal Albert Hall. Must go to Fortnum and Mason and Foyles Bookshop. London is magical at Christmas Time whoever and whatever one does. Personally, avoid Winter whatever it's called in Hyde Park - usually near Hyde Park Corner - got it Winter Wonderland. Expensive, tacky. See what’s on at Sachi Gallery in Sloane Square - sounds really crazy but a walk thru any of the parks and even a row on the Sepentine plus visit that gallery.
    • Eynella road is nowhere near the Herne Hill Oxfam shop. Do you mean Stradella?
    • Both great ideas. I went round that house in the early eighties (I think it was, may have been later),  but I think the tour is differently done now (and a lot more expensive!)
