Recommended Posts

Has anyone read the link on ebay ?

Incredibly funny..some guy's wife had an affair and he found out!app.. she was a bit lazy.

He posted her on ebay with some rather defamatory remarks about her .. even listed the guys no she'd had the affair with..not so funny..and the depot where they both work...not good news for the rail company concerned..

however the guy has had some serious offers i believe she reached a price of 96k !!

And they say a women scorned....

The police are now trying to do him for harrasment.

...freedom of speech ? or an injustice for a woman that obviously wasnt happy and getting what she felt she wanted in her marriage

Surely a quiet word from the boys in blue would have sufficed?

I heard the police have pushed for prosecution against a 15 year old protesting outside the Scientology offices in Victoria. His crime? Holding up a sign, declaring scientology a cult.

You'd thing they'd have better things to do ....

Buying and selling of wives used to be an English country "common law" event in 17th / 18th centuries I think - tho' I'm not sure how much truth there is in the stories. IT is referred to in Thomas HArdy novels.

Nice to hear of it updated for 21st century.

it's the Q&A at the end that made me giggle - particularly the "when was she last serviced" stuff!

This is the digital age equivalent of cutting sleeves off suits and throwing suitcases out of windows - not pretty to be done in public but all's fair...

    • It is not Labour Party members who elect Labour governments, as it certainly isn't Conservative Party members who elect Conservative ones. It is all those who are not party members who actually make up the sufficient numbers to elect governments.
    • Thanks for these responses. Yes, Cllr Browning & Cllr Hartley did a door-knocking exercise a couple of months ago. It was Maggie Browning who knocked and I told her that I'd had radio silence from Jon Hartley. She looked embarrassed but not surprised. I have spoken to him since, only after writting to Ellie Reeves, our MP about it his lack of response. He agreed to address the issue I asked about but I've not heard from him since. It's really not acceptable for an elected Councillor to consistently ignore his ward constituents. Since it's clearly not a one-off, I'm gonna pick this up formally. I'll let you know how I get on...
    • If memory serves, Labour under Corbyn got more electoral  votes than Labour under Starmer. So I'm not sure how you can call that being "unelectable"? Under a different and fairer electoral system Labour would have won. I see moves are afoot to bring in such a different, fairer system, presumably in the hopes of stopping Reform winning next time. BTW there was a mass exodus from Labour  by  the local (East Dulwich) Labour party members when Corbyn was kicked out by Starmer. It isn't just Islington who doesn't want to support  a right or centre right Labour party.
    • Is this the new shop next to Dulwich Tandoori? is it actually open and if so has anyone tried them.
