All tickets (apart from ground tickets) are allocated by open ballot - am sure if you google it the details would come up. I haven't applied before but my mum-in-law has done it several times and got tickets for the final a few years back - we could see her on tv over a Roger Federer's shoulder when having rest breaks!

I believe you get informed which tickets you've been allocated & have a chance to accept or have them reallocated.

I was just sent an email from ticketmaster saying I can apply for tickets 48 hours before I want to go - think I may be eligible as wasn't successful if the ballot?

We did this a couple of years ago... a small number of tickets are allocated 2 days beforehand, and we picked up a couple of centre court tickets. Not sure that works for the final though.

My one Wimbledon experience involved great seats on centre court.

it also involved about 20% tennis to 80% rain.

Was still pretty fun though.
