????
A statement. My stag do involved Folkestone races and, comfortably( but sadly?) The Hermits Cave until the early hours.....although some pure MDMA meant that there was some mild delinquency Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3388-euro-2008/page/3/#findComment-109220 Share on other sites

monica
Im italian and after last nights defeat i felt sick, however knowing the form of my belle azzuri, they will start playing good football, i must say and this is not sour grapes, but the first goal was offside. The other 2 goals were great and shame on my baby GiGi Bufont for wondering off for a espresso during the game.(he may as well for all the good he did)Grosso and Del piero changed the tempo of the italian side and if that t**t Roberto Donadoni wakes up and smells the spaghetti al vongole he will realise on friday he will have to start with Del piero and Grosso, the great formation of the 2006 winning team need to be reunited again. Now il go off for another sob in my latte machiato :-$ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3388-euro-2008/page/3/#findComment-109260 Share on other sites

mockney piers
Great start by my lads, people will start speaking about them being the strongest team in the tournament. They will of course go out meekly in the quarter finals :(Have people ever seen England and Spain in the same room together (at least since euro 96?) lozzyloz
Nice one Monica. Only the Italian's can mention football and food in the same sentence! I think Italy will recover from their abysmal start. atila the gooner
Spanish performance last night reminded of, yes you guessed it, Arsenal at their freeflowing best. Aside from my prefence for Turkey to do well, because of my parentage, I wish the Spaniards well, and hope that the Italians continue to play as dismally as they did against the Dutch who played them off the park. Why a nation continue to rely on a side choc a bloc with over the hill players, in the same way that AC Milan do, is beyond me. snorky
no Italy. No ever. Cynical nasty team - Italy are usually supported by either : a) Italians ( Ethnic or Natives )b) people who know nothing about football and dont have Brazil to support ( "Pele - best player in history ever " despite their experience of Pele being a few clips on youtube and other people telling them he was the best ever. also used to dedcribe George best by same people )I think France may be screwed here sadly - utterly typical and wastefulIt has to be Germany now for meOr teh czechs Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3388-euro-2008/page/3/#findComment-109326 Share on other sites
Ted Max
I think Italy and Holland will both come through from that group. France = England if they'd qualified. Meaning the prevailing assumption that by just scraping through a poor group, they'll be fine once they get to the real thing, because they have so many world class players. Annasfield
I'd like Italy to get to the finals (because they're my sweepstake team). However ideally it will be LiverSpain or if I'm true to my roots Greece. Mind you, after last night's negative performance I'm not sure I could sit through another 90 mins. You would have got an assist from him last night and there are also at least another two games to play. lozzyloz
Well snorky, coming from somebody who's country doesn't have a football team, I guess I'd be bitter too.a) Obviouslyb) I'm part South American so that works for me in the World Cup Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3388-euro-2008/page/3/#findComment-109364 Share on other sites
atila the gooner
Fabregas' through ball for Villa's third was sublime, mind you he does that sort of thing for us week in week out. fish
I think Turkey played quite well, last night. S... weather!
