I've been to one Dulwich Hamlets game before a long time ago and I'm pretty sure I just bought tickets on the gate. I've got some friends visiting end of Jan and they all want to go watch a game. Someone mentioned that games can sell out and its best to prebook tickets if you can but I can't figure out where to do this. Their official website has a link for 'tickets and fixtures' but there's no actual options anywhere to buy tickets.

Am I being dumb and missing something?

From Dulwich hamlet twitter account about an hour ago.  Word of advice get there early.

‘A reminder our game tomorrow 𝗜𝗦 𝗡𝗢𝗧 sold out.

Tickets 𝗪𝗜𝗟𝗟 be available on the turnstiles when they open at 13:30.

Arrive early to avoid disappointment. ‘

Thanks for that. Do you know, does that mean I can buy tickets at 1:30 and then come back?

For future reference, you buy tickets and come in.

There are bars, food and TVs to watch whatever game is being shown live.

If you want a seat you definitely need to get there early.

Thank you for the responses on this.

I had a ticket already, but had a couple of late additions to our party who hadn't bought in advance, so we got there at 2:30 pm. We queued up for a long time; after kick-off and eventually got in once the staff were able to work out how many season-ticket holders had not turned up.

I'll know for next time 🙂

    • I am not here to justify or excuse Lambeth Council's decisions,  but you would have to be very very naive not to understand that cancelling several eventsof that size at auch short notice would be anything other than financially catastrophic for all involved.
    • I think it demonstrates the lengths councils will go to to appease commercial stakeholders and prioritise them over local residents and their own constituents. Councils appear to become very myopic once revenue is involved....
