Hi

The water was on a couple if weeks ago when weather was less good but someone just told me it was switched off last weekend. Has anyone been there this week? Is there water in the fountains now?

I want to take my daughter - but it is a fair way away if there is no water...

Please advise....

Thanks

anyone anyone? Maybe its on and no one is there and its peaceful and clean and flowing with fresh water as we all think its off? I'm going to try and track down a phone number for a park attendee tomorrow and see if I can find out...as don't want to make the journey on a hot day and be disappointed.
I saw a tweet yesterday from brockwell park community partners which linked to their website - not sure how to do a link but it said there was a burst pipe and I think it was supposed to reopen today. Suggest you have a look at that, don't want to get anyone's hopes up!

Ok just got thru to a very nice lady at Lambeth parks services ( [email protected] or tel: 0207 926 9000, option 4 and then option 3).

She advised that Brockwell burst water pipe is fixed - yeah!

It's not at full capacity yet ( her words) as the water pressure is still lower - the jets are more like a slow shower than a power shower jet) but each day will see the capacity increase to full by the end of the week.

Myatts has a serious issue and may be out of order for some time and she is seeking an update on this.

I asked that she update the forum directly and she is going to discuss this with her manager to seek authorisation as it would be a good centralised area to gain an update. No reported issues with Ruskin park.

Hope this helps everyone !

Enjoy the sun :)

    • However, some would particularly like to avoid reviews of the 'there are far too many mice'; 'the cakes are deteriorating badly' nature. If you consider that a 'Negative Nelly' response. My experience was that the hot drinks and the varieties of e.g. teas on offer, were generally a positive element. As were the staff serving.
    • The hare krishna restaurant is called Govindas and still going strong in Soho Street, a different establishment to the one that used to be (still is?) in Hanway Street. I must go back to Govindas some time
    • Its that time of year again, past Christmas day and late delayed cards are turning up. How late are your cards arriving ?  Last year I had one delivered 4 weeks late. Can that be beaten this year ?
    • Sadly, a lot of businesses didn't invite reviews on the EDF at that time due to a number of "negative nellies" that would take delight in posting unfavourable comments, often despite never being to the business in question.  No matter how good the place was, some posters would find fault that wasn't there "don't lile the colour of the bidet set in the private bathroom, avocado 😅" Can hardly blame businesses at the time for not wanting reviews on here, thankfully that has mostly changed now.
