I wanted to recommend Jason Arnold (07517 615952) for any plastering work. We had water damage to a bedroom ceiling from a leaking shower on the floor above. He cut back the damaged plaster, replaced the missing board, smoothed it over and primed and painted it. All over the course of a few evenings. The ceiling looks good as new, and he left the room spotless. A really nice guy. I can't recommend highly enough.

Jason is fantastic at his profession! Had some very bad damage to the ceiling and walls from a leak in the roof which caused structural damage to the surrounding areas which are already weak due to being a Victorian building. He was very meticulous in making sure everything was done to the highest of standards in an efficient manner. All around great guy and can’t recommend enough! Images below of before and after results.

Another recommendation for Jason… I don’t have photos, but he did a great and tidy job on a wall of ancient plaster that was blown, all in good time, clean and tidy, and a nice guy to have around the house. Now re-boarded and plastered and very good indeed. 🌞

Another recommendation here for Jason.  He came to plaster over a section of ceiling that we had to remove in order to investigate a leak.  He is a really lovely guy, easy to get in touch with and great communication.  He was quick, tidy and competitively priced.  Very happy and I'd have no hesitation in recommending him to anyone.

Jason  re-plastered our spare bedroom recently and we’re really pleased with the results. His rate was very fair for the detail and attention he put into the job as well as not marking up the cost of materials.

Would highly recommend and we’ll be coming back to Jason when we next need some plaster work doing.

I would also highly recommend Jason.

In the aftermath of a nasty leak from our bathroom, Jason plastered and painted the ceiling in our kitchen in Nunhead.

He was very punctual, easy going, friendly and did a great job. It all looks good as new.

I truly cannot recommend Jason enough, he took so much time and care with the decorating of my bathroom, even suggesting ways in which I could save money. Jason took extra time to come back and help fit a mirror and do touch ups on what I thought was a perfect job. He is also an incredibly nice guy and always keeps you up to date on progress and when he'll be working. I will definitely be saving his number for future works.

His number is 07517 615952.

Jason just completed some plastering for me.  He did a very thorough job, no corner cutting...excellent at his job, good communication and punctual. He is also a really genuine guy/gentleman..he was on a break and helped some neighbours carry some of their furniture in. The world needs more Jasons;

    • I have Plusnet. I've been with them for years, and  I switched to fibre some time ago. Threaten to leave them and I'm sure you'll be fine money wise. Get armed with price comparisons first 😀
    • The Cornish Gouda was featured in an early episode of 'Rick Stein's Cornwall'. It's actually made by a Dutch family who moved here. The series is being repeated on BBC2 at the moment, so it's probably available on the iPlayer. Cheese Block stock a great 'Old Amsterdam' aged Gouda, if you can bring yourself to go in, or M&S do one made with Jersey milk. I've never found the Cheese Block all that grumpy. I think they just get a bit frustrated when it's busy and people don't know what they want. It's not ideal, but I try to go in when it's quiet if I'm undecided, and they're almost friendly. Here's a link to the Rick Stein show. It'll be available soon, apparently. Hopefully it'll help you track down the Gouda.   https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000qzxr
    • It’s Mons all the way for us. Super friendly. And they know their customers . They even asked me why I bought so much Comté. LOL. This is the cheese from my area in France  and I eat it without thinking. I LOVE their Fourme  d’Ambert, one of the oldest cheeses in France. Much creamier than Roquefort and much cheaper too. Also love their selection of goats cheese - and the fact that they regularly discount cheeses that have ripened a bit too much, which is how I like my cheese. Been lobbying them to make Fromage Fort, which is a hit like potted cheese. You take old leftover cheeses and ferment them in white wine. If other Burgundians are in the area, please join the lobbying effort.  Heritage cheese used to sell an absolutely amazing Gouda from Cornwall and I really enjoyed this but they’ve stopped selling it.  Can’t comment on Cheese Block - so grumpy in there I’ve stopped going in. Perhaps I’m missing out.
