I found them very good for most of the time I was registered with them apart from one insensitive GP phone call regarding test results (nurse was lovely). Apart from that though I honestly couldn't fault them - was able to get appointments, they referred me for reassurance investigations when a close relative was extremely ill, nurses were great etc. A friend had great support including on-site counselling for short term mental health issues. They degistered with me without warning when I *temporarily* moved a very short distance out of catchment so I'm still smarting about that! I subsequently registered with Nunhead Grove Surgery who I was delighted to find were even lovelier.
I'm with the gardens surgery and have had on the whole, a very good experience there. I find it easy to get an appointment when I need one and they are always fantastic about seeing my son 17 months, the same day if necessary. I have never been made to feel like the neurotic new mother! The reception staff are lovely too. A great practice in my opinion.
We had put up with very poor GPs in Lordship Lane after senior GP Dr During died and it took three years or so before The Gardens opened up their list as very over subscribed. Never regretted this move - all the GPs are good, Dr. Tran is lovely, Liz (Nurse) is easy to get on with and very helpful. Drs. Cliffe, Fryer and Addo are all approachable and willing to listen. Dr. Cliffe is very well up on mental health. Opening hours range from early morning appointments with a couple of late evenings.

    • Which is a perfectly legitimate political position to take and somewhat parallels the (equally legitimate) 'I hate Tories' or  'I love Labour' positions taken by other posters. Or indeed 'I hate car drivers and owners' or 'I love cyclists' positions frequently paraded.
    • There have been people fairly recently killed by having apparently healthy trees  in parks fall on them. The council tree people like trees. They don't remove trees without a very good reason. To talk about "mutilating the neighbourhood" and "reckless unconcern for the law" seems a bit harsh when you don't know the background. Why don't you find out why these trees have been/will be removed ? It's quite easy. A phone call will probably tell you:
    • And accommodation for servants too.   Grouse shooting?  Sorry, it's easy to take the Michael.  I've been peering at a hole in the ground on Woodhall Drive a private road in West Dulwich.  There used to be a £2million house there but expect something far grander.  Although it's been a big hole for some time now.  I have a legit reason to be on that road and always wave to the CCTV.
    • Thanks for posting this, I've always been intrieged by that house having glimpsed it passing by..It truly is the dream
