We went on holiday with friends, staying in their apartment and I want to send them a little thank you gift. I was thinking a gift hamper of sorts but the ones I've seen seem a bit pricey considering the contents. I don't mind spending ?50 or even a bit more for the right thing. Has anyone sent/received a really great gift that they can recommend? Thanks!

If they have a Kindle, what about an Amazon Kindle voucher for some holiday reading. (Easy to buy and send online. Or a delivery of 4 to 6 bottles of good wine? If I stay in someone's apartment, I sometimes try and think of something they might like for the apartment.

    • A long overdue review for Niko who we have used a number of times over the years, sometimes to properly finish a job that other plumbers have not done properly. He thinks of everything! I only ever use another plumber if it's urgent and Niko is away. A really kind and thoughtful man and totally trustworthy

The coding session would be good but you need to book well in advance. Also grandson has been doing coding since 6 years old. He now has a 'mentoring role' at his primary school as his knowledge of this subject is years above his chronological age. Dates are still up in the air as their father is trying to juggle leave from a new job in the north of the country.
    • why not have a pasty shop - we could have Cornish pasties, Jamaican patties, empanadas from all the different regions.... I like all three.  I'm still going to support the Chacarero family business, as I don't support chains, just as I don't buy anything from Gail's, Nero, Starbucks etc.
