Depends on whether there's fixture congestion or not. Has been known to happen...

Unless someone decides to amend their prediction before kick-off*, which wouldn't be breaking any rules... ;-)

It would be breaking the rules.

You are not allowed to do that!

Of course you are. On PredictAddict you can change your predictions as many times as you want peior to kick off, after which it 'freezes'. If a prediction has been made on here after the official kick-off time then it will become void. I will work out what the time delay is after I've posted this...

Currently 5mins, so any predictions posted within 5mins of kick off will be void...

Grab your passport and dust down your Sergio Tacchini's, it's time to go continental.

As per the EDF Cup, the top 8 players will go through to the quarter final head-to-heads.

It's been re-arranged for next Monday, 24th...

By my calculations, 2 players definitely out, and it's 1 from 4 for the other wooden spoon place.

In the event of 2 or more players finishing on the same number of points, the player with the highest number of correct scores from all 3 rounds will go through. If it's still a tie, Ots gets to toss his double headed threepenny bit again...

You're right RD.

I don't think I was including the Sheff Wed predictions when I did the calculations.

I still don't think you should be allowed to change them. The fact that you can do it on predict addict is totally different because you can't see anyone else's predictions!

Just my opinion.

I certainly won't be changing mine to 2-1 just so I'll stay above you!

There are pros and cons with a ban on changing predictions. For instance if Barca announced today that Messi, Iniesta and Xavi were injured in training, I'd want to be able to change my prediction to reflect this. I think if someone did what you describe, it would be quite obvious and their 'win' would be tarnished. There are other loopholes in the format too, for instance there's nothing to stop someone waiting until everyone else has posted their predictions before posting their own. I can think of one player who is regularly one of the last to post their predictions... coincidence or tactics? I guess it comes down to the morals of the individual...

What would you do AM if you were one point behind me, and we both made the same prediction for the the Shef Wed game, thereby it was a 'dead rubber' and you couldn't beat me? Personally I'd have no problem if you changed your prediction. I think that is different than someone deliberately posting a matching prediction to stop a rival from catching them...

Not sure about everyone else but I never look at what else people have predicted

It's all about the fun of getting it right? or am I missing something

as for changing predictions I would rather get them in and then leave alone

that way everyone in same boat

I wouldn't change them on principle. Plus I'd feel like I cheated. I'm not that desperate to get into the top eight.

    • Rant ahead: You're not one of them but unfortunately, there's a substrate of posters here that do very little except moan and come up with weird conspiracy theories. They're immediately highly critical of just about any change, and their initial assumption is that everyone else is a total fucking contemptible idiot. For example: don't you think that the people who run the libraries will have considered the impact of timing of reconstruction on library users? (In fact, we know they have - because they've made arrangements at other libraries to attempt to mitigate the disruption). After all, these are the people that spend their whole working week thinking about libraries and dealing with library users (and the kids especially). You don't go into the library game for the chicks and fame - so it's fair to assume that librarians are committed to public service and public access to libraries, including by kids. Likewise the built environment people (engineers, architects, construction managers, project managers, construction contractors, subcontractors or whoever is on this job) are told to minimise disruption on every job they do. The thing that occurs to us as amateurs within 30 seconds of us seeing something is probably not something a full time professional hasn't thought about! Southwark Council, the NHS, TfL, Dulwich Estate, Thames Water, Openreach - they're not SPECTRE factories filled with malevolent chaosmongers trying to persecute anyone. They're mostly filled with people who understand their job and try to do their best with what they've been given - just like all of us. Nobody is perfect or immune from challenge, and that's fair enough, but why not at least start from the assumption that there's a good reason why things have been done the way they have? Any normal person would be pleased that their busy, pretty, lively local library is getting refurbished, and will have more space and facilities for kids and teens, and will be more efficient to run and warmer in winter. But no, EDT_Forumite_752 had kids who did an exam 20 years ago, and this makes them an expert on library refurbishment who can see it's all just stuff and nonsense for the green agenda and why can't it all be put off... 😡😡😡
    • I completely misread the previous post, sorry. For some reason I thought the mini cooper was also a police vehicle, DUH.
