Injured Canada Goose

There is an injured Canada Goose in Therapia Road at the junction with Scutari Road. Does anyone know of an organisation that could help to rescue it?

You could google wildbird rescue and see which organisation is closest to you. I just tried and several came up.

It has managed to fly a short distance and I think it is in one of the back gardens on Therapia Road. At least it is now away from any cars.

it could be a juvenile that has got separated from his group. I found one once and which could seem to fly short distances. I caught it and got advice from RSPCA i think , anyway I caught it and took it to Dulwich park pond where it happily joined a group of canada geese.

It helps to carefully cover their eyes when holding them as they remain quieter and less distressed.

It also helps if you have a cloth, such as a towel or old curtain, to throw right around the fluttering bird before picking it up.

Great idea to take it to water - there's a nearby lake in Peckham Park, and one in Dulwich Park as ironjawcannon says.

we tried to help too by staying with it - but it flew off. relatively distressing to see an injured bird. fingers crossed it's OK.
