We've all become a bit blas? about manager's and player's comings and goings, but this gave me a real WTF moment from the BBC's european round-up feature...


There are reports that Paris St-Germain boss Unai Emery could face the sack after six months and be replaced by former Manchester United manager Louis van Gaal.

There doesn't appear to be a standout candidate. IMO Giggs would be a massive risk, he's never played in a relegation dog fight yet alone been a manager in one. I would go for Gary Rowett, recently sacked by Brum for no other reason than they wanted a high profile name like Zola, even though he's been a poor manager up to now. Rowett fits the previous Swansea model of a young progressive manager, trying to play attractive football. If they go down, which I think they will, he will also have the experience of managing in the Championship...

Quite a few of the fans agree. Staying up now would be a bonus

Officially better than Scholes, Gerrard and Lampard. Sort of.


After 50 top flight matches:

? Dele Alli: 16 goals, 10 assists

? Paul Scholes: 16 goals, 3 assists

? Steven Gerrard: 2 goals, 3 assists

? Frank Lampard: 5 goals, 2 assists



And he does this for laughs.

      If it was limited to a couple of days a year, so we all knew, that would be fine. In the last few years (and it is a recent thing) you get random fireworks going off any time after dusk for half the year. It does more than cause problems for pets and wildlife- it can mean lasting damage and massive expense and hassle for pet owners. All because some get a buzz out of loud bangs.

      Ohh dear.  Fireworks can be great fun.  Where I used to live the kids would have firework wars/games.  Watching them was more enjoyable than watching  TV. (Which you could hardly hear due to the pops and bangs).  It's not like anyone/anything could stop them. I would still prefer organised public displays that are affordable.   And I agree that fireworks cause problems for wild life, pets and people.   It seems to be one of those things that just happens so we have to put up with it.  But it is still not as problematic here as in other areas in London - that's for sure.
