Way ahead of you on that, , posted on Saturday night.

I'm a Liverpool supporter from South London so can't claim to support my local team. Can only claim that I got interested when I lived in Liverpool.

Yes.

I always remember watching a Scottish cup match between the old firm on telly in the late 90s and some loon was being stretchered out of the crowd having fallen from the top tier to the crowd below. He was still fist pumping from his stretcher and I remember sitting thinking "what a bunch of total nutters! ".

Ha - that wasn't a Scottish Cup match. It was the day Rangers won the league at Parkhead.

Same day the ref was hit by a coin from the Celtic fans and had to be treated on the pitch. Same day three Celtic fans invaded the pitch to try and get at the referee. Said referee also had his windows smashed in at his home after the game.

Happy days! :)

I remember sitting down to watch that Celtic Rangers match. Sky sports said and your referee for todays crucial game is Hugh Dallas. My mate turned to me and said "forget about it now Mick". How right he was.

Throwing a pound coin is a big expense for a Celtic fan. Id say it paid dividends except Dallas got up and looking through his bandages gave Rangers a penalty about 30 seconds later. Hugh wasn't about to let a bit of blood get in the way of his mission that day.

Rangers fans after the match were talking of getting Dallas 12 shirts printed for the next season. Read that just now on a Rangers forum (and got out alive)

Don't let the fact we absolutely battered you that day get in the way of a good old conspiracy theory.

I was bringing the piblet, but been trumped by a mate sprogging so bit miffed I won't be there.

Take Otta, he's been meaning to go for ages, and check this out for the liquidity of the footie on offer.

    • "You have no idea why"   To be fair Sue, it's blindingly obvious to anyone who has a conversation with anyone who isn't a Corbyn supporter. And even some who liked Corbyn (like me initially) found him somewhat flaky even at his most popular But let's say you are right and I have NO idea why anybody might not vote for him. They still didn't vote for him. He lost two elections. The second one badly (and strongly predicted but the stubborn old goat wouldn't budge so we we were stuck with Johnson and another 3 million PMs in the 5 years that followed) So even with ZERO evidence, we have our eyes and ears and brains But we do have evidence   https://yougov.co.uk/politics/articles/27022-their-own-words-why-voters-abandoned-labour
    • As I said, it was my understanding. I worded it very carefully. I didn't/don't know for sure, so clearly not a fact. And hardly an "opinion", which is something completely different. You have no idea what reason anybody might have had for not voting for him (unless you can point to some opinion poll results which actually asked people?)
    • Also, just to add, the threat to kill someone's dog and try to kick it, is an additional extremely unpleasant layer. I have noticed a lot of the burst water balloons lying around in the park too- that is not great for the environment either.
