As Jah said, a proper footballing legend.

Great video link of the Madrid game.

That pic of Moyes is very disturbing, can we move the page on quickly, it will frighten the horses...

It did. Yesterday's crap defending apart the real problem is not scoring goals. The centre forward isn't getting fed. We have excellent wingers but they cut inside all the bloody time. No one is going down the wing and putting crosses in. Everything is played through the middle and we just run into brick walls. I don't care how much possession we have - going sideways and backwards doesn't get you anywhere - if we're not scoring goals we will continue to drop down the table. AVB has to change his tactics because they clearly aren't working.
This fashion for wingers playing on right if they're left-footed or the left if they're right-footed and cutting in all time is bollocks. You don't have to cut in all the fecking time, get to the fecking by-line and get the ball in the fecking box. Play to your players strengths. You can go either way if you've got any talent in both feet. Grrrr!
The end for Celtic. They have pretty much been poor since the minute Scott Brown was sent off in the second game against Barca and got a 3 game ban. Never got going after that and out of our depth without Brown and the players we did not replace from last year. No reinvestment, get what you deserve.

Not surprising but utterly frustrating. I get the lack of investment argument but thats no excuse. To lose 3 nil at home is embarrassing especially against a Milan who are at best stuttering.

Brown is an overrated clown. He doesnt lead by example. Dont think he would have changed anything though. Would have preferred to have seen him sold and Wanyama retained.

Very disappointing not to even have the Europa League to give as a distraction from the inevitable SPL win.

SCSB79 I await your gloating post.

B.I.S it's just not the same when you ask for the gloating!!

Wait, wait... I have one:

The only Celtic fans in Europe after Christmas will be the ones in the Amsterdam jail.

Ba dum tish!

Not surprisingly I agree with you on Scott Brown. And it is not just through blue tinted glasses I say this... he is a major liability.

His kick out against Barcelona, his kick out against Norway (or was it the USA, my memory deserts me)... and he has done it a few other times too. Not the actions of a captain of the second biggest club in Scotland.

So, all that is left for you really is the Scottish Cup as the league is a formality - should you not win that then I'd say it is a pretty poor season for you overall.

When do Tottenham kick off? Every 15 minutes!

Got the players' confidence - apart from those off to Canada - if he's really going Canuck Defoe must have given up on an England slot for the WC.

If we lose to Fulham on Saturday I'm 100% confident BFS will beat AVB to it. Maybe there's another one of those Totteringham-WH swaps on the cards? (snicker)

BFS will get Soldado firing - he might give Adebayor a good run out too.

    • This is a remarkable interpretation of history. Wikipedia (with more footnotes and citations than you could shake a shitty stick at sez: The austerity programme was initiated in 2010 by the Conservative and Liberal Democrat coalition government. In his June 2010 budget speech, Osborne identified two goals. The first was that the structural current budget deficit would be eliminated to "achieve [a] cyclically-adjusted current balance by the end of the rolling, five-year forecast period". The second was that national debt as a percentage of GDP would fall. The government intended to achieve both of its goals through substantial reductions in public expenditure.[21] This was to be achieved by a combination of public spending cuts and tax increases amounting to £110 billion.[26] Between 2010 and 2013, the Coalition government said that it had reduced public spending by £14.3 billion compared with 2009–10.[27] Growth remained low, while unemployment rose. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/United_Kingdom_government_austerity_programme From memory, last time around they were against the LTNs and competing with the Tories to pick up backlash votes - both failed. They had no counterproposals or ideas about how to manage congestion or pollution. This time around they're simply silent on the matter: https://www.southwark-libdems.org.uk/your-local-lib-dem-team/goosegreen Also, as we have seen from Mr Barber's comments on the new development on the old Jewsons yard, "leading campaigns to protect the character of East Dulwich and Goose Green" is code for "blocking new housing".

    • Revealing of what, exactly? I resurrected this thread, after a year, to highlight the foolishness of the OP’s op. And how posturing would be sagacity is quickly undermined by events, dear boy, events. The thread is about Mandelson. I knew he was a wrong ‘un all along, we all did; the Epstein shit just proves it. In reality, Kinnock, Blair, Brown, Starmer et all knew as well but accepted it, because they found him useful. As did a large proportion of the 2024 intake of Labour MPs who were personally vetted and approved by Mandelson.
    • I used Aria recently to replace the basin waste for my bathroom sink. He was super friendly, communicative and helpful - including changing the washer on the new replacement I bought to ensure longevity. Would highly recommend.
