Yes.

Although those are his words. But I've said before that I think it would be the decent thing for SAF to just disappear for a while, at least just watch the match from behind tinted glass in a box. Moyes was always going to have the ghost of SAF on his shoulders, but SAF is making it even harder for him!

Surely this comes down to whether a manager is good enough or not, not because the previous manager is sitting in the stand. Sir Matt was still around in Fergie's early years, he was there the night we won our first PL title.

Moyes needs to start acting like he belongs at the club, to keep referring to the club in the third person doesn't help. He also needs to cut out the negativity and excuses...transitional period, tough fixture list, injuries etc...all part and parcel of the game. He could do with showing some 'power and control'. After the Newcastle game he admitted his plan was to take RVP off after 60mins, but he didn't because he thought he would be accused of ''you don't know what you're doing''. Really? It's alright being honest, but not when it shows you up to bowing down to external pressures, thus weakening your own authority.

When he was appointed I couldn't decide whether he was a good choice or not. I still can't. He should be given time but I'm losing confidence that he'll use it wisely...

There is a muddled/vague feeling to both his tactics and interviews so far at utd. i wonder if players feel the same in meetings

I firmly believe having appointed him he has to be given 2 seasons but in general I agree with RD - teh whole "fergie over the shoulder" thing is, or at least should be, inconsequential

Agree, he even dithered over Fellaini. Why buy a player for their release clause when you can wait and pay an extra ?3-4m?

Interesting that Rio openly complained about Moyes' last minute team selection.

The more I think about it, the more there are lots of little things that have all added up to the perfect storm...better batten down the hatches!

Agree with the slap, but also agree with what Rio said, as I would've thought most players want time to get psyched up before a game.

BR, you need to calm down, you're going to do yourself a mischief...

Just now on Sky sports following the end of the Galatasaray v Juve game, Alan McCanally(hope that's how its spelt) was asked "would Manchester United fancy playing Galatasaray" to which he responded "No, the way United are playing at the moment they won't fancy playing anyone!"

I was jesting as Mac has started separate threads from this one on for instance the downfall of Man Utd.

And Jah doesn't like people deviating from his footie thread as he used to be a headmaster and is a bit a stickler for the old rules innit.

    • It looks as though there will be 10 of us!  We are going to Love Dulwich again for a lunch and will checkout their 'normal' menu - from what we remember from the last 2 times we went = there was plenty to satisfy every one and they were happy to take party bookings.- Hubby and I have worked out that if all our daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren were  to come - there would be 20 of us!! As it is - the Essex  family branch live too far away to come over for an evening - so we will meet up in Essex at a later date.

    • Just to warn anyone thinking of employing or engaging Chris and Anna Richmond, that nothing has changed.  The accounts above from others are all too familiar.  A job that we were told would take between 6-8 months is now entering its 23rd month.  They have taken enormous amounts of money from us, finished nothing, and the quality of the work that they have delivered is poor to substandard.  They take no responsibility themselves - there are endless excuses and everything is someone else's fault.  They do not care about the impact that their actions have on anyone else.   They are, at best, chaotic. They have not delivered as the designers or project managers that they claim to be. They are rarely on site to monitor the progress or quality of the job that is being delivered and they and manage their largely non-English speaking workforce by WhatsApp and Google translate.  There has been little evidence that they employ the skilled tradespeople needed to lay tiles, install bathrooms and kitchens, decorate and complete to the standard that we have paid for.  I cannot stress enough, that if you are currently in discussion with Anna and Chris Richmond about a future job or have paid them money up front for a job that they have slipped in delivering, to quit while you are ahead.  Things won't get better.
    • Hi All, I’d like to recommend Aaron Manser, who several others on this forum have also used. Aaron is an excellent plasterer, and has just finished a complicated piece of plastering work for me, including a large expanse of ceiling. His work has been of the highest quality, his attention to detail is exceptional, and he’s also very quick, and tidy too. As an added bonus he has a lovely singing voice. Happy to provide any photos of the work he has done. This is the third time over the past few years I’ve had Aaron back. Aaron Manser - 07773 410661 Regards, Damien
