UEFA - Celtic got to final so good cup

CWC - for cup WINNERS

UEFA cup - the rest

I may remember watching that but a but vague. Beating Anderlecht and on penalties. Can't remember the goalkeeper, was he a stand in hero ? Remember Brian Moore commenting I think.

That was the UEFA Cup, Mac. The second time we won it. Tony Parkes was the reserve goalie (currently a goalkeeping coach at Spurs) who was the hero.

We were the first British club to win a European trophy by winning the Cup Winners' Cup in '63 by beating Athletico Madrid 5-1 in the final. I doubt you'll remember that.

They did indeed, but I was talking about how they've missed him overall, not just that game. In the same way we missed him for 7 of the 8 seasons he was with us.

Its a bit hard to be gracious when you have a perfectly good goal chalked off, although Pardew is a tool.

I know ratty might afford himself a wry smile, but I'd hate to wake up a Saints fan this morning, looking like there could be a firesale, even the 'ammers are getting stuck in... http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2540136/EXCLUSIVE-West-Ham-talks-sign-Southampton-striker-Lambert.html

Morrison was full of potential when he was at United and they launched out of the door. Not sure he will ever fulfil the expectations that his formers employers had.

I'm going for - unstable but potentially top talent - needs manager who leans towards flair and creativity in his approach to the game to bring out the best - not gonna get that at Upton Park, might get it under Meulensteen then move on to a bigger club after a season or two.

But maybe that's just me and my unreasonable anti- big, lovable, good-old, bluff, honest, down-to-earth, I-say-what-I-like-and-I-like-what-I-blooody-well-say Samuel Allardyce.

Can't say I've heard that one, it's not appeared on any of the fans blogs or websites.

Rangers head for Administration again?? Will we ever get to play them again?

Rangers players refuse to accept 15% wage cut following crisis meeting at Murray Park

SHOCKED players booted out chief executive Graham Wallace's demands to accept the pay cut after the squad was gathered at the club's training ground by boss Ally McCoist.

RANGERS chief executive Graham Wallace's shock demands for Ibrox stars to accept a 15% wage cut was booted out by stunned players after a dressing room crisis meeting today at Murray Park.

It's understood the Gers squad was called together by boss Ally McCoist before he bowed out and left the talking to skipper Lee McCulloch.

Wallace has decided drastic action is needed to prevent the runaway League One leaders lurching towards administration before the end of the campaign, despite a ?22 million cash injection just 13 month ago under a share issue promoted by departed chief executive Chrles Green.

Quite right too, why should they accept a cut? They are not the cause of the mire that Rangers find themselves in.

Got a message back within a day to say medication ordered from chemist.
