Mata and Kagawa seem to have brought the best out of each other, but unfortunately Mata's cup tied, so Moyes will probably stick with the side that started the first leg, with Kagawa on the bench. Personally I'd play him because of his Bundesliga experience, and I'd also like to see Hernandez start, with his pace he would create problems for Bayern's high line, plus he's our most clinical finisher, important as we need to score a goal in a game where we won't get many chances...

His points record is actually good compared to other Spurs managers of recent times. But he's definitely been caught out tactically on a few occasions. His persona is also very confrontational and aggressive, I don't think that goes down well at any club.

I don't think LVG is a done deal as has been suggested. LVG was spotted with RVP at an Ajax game at the weekend...I'm saying no more... ;-)

If he leaves it will definitely be under his own steam. I had a hunch at the start of the season that this might be his last season, but that was more to do with the possibility of him becoming the manager of the French team after the World Cup. I see that at his last job in football.

Against Everton he looked a beaten man, did he even leave his seat to go into the technical area?

Arsenal should win the FA Cup, and I still think they will finish fourth, as Everton have a much trickier run-in. Failure in one or both will get the boo boys out in force. How many fans as a % would you say are against him SJ?...

I wouldn't dream of pretending to know a % RD - i just don't get along to games anymore so I'm reliant on forums and the like

up until recently my gut feel was about 20% of fans were vociferous in their anger towards Wenger, but I'm sensing it's a lot higher now

Either way, the man himself would be unhappy with even 10% shouting at him they way some are. Does he think things will be better next season. Man Utd fortifying in the summer, Chelsea replacing forwards, Man City doing what they do, Liverpool possibly defending the title, Everton pushing on?

Or does he think every little slip will see the abuse intensify and the possibility of a dignified exit diminish?

I think he will go this summer regardless of how well/badly we do (and I am not confident about beating Wigan at weekend at all)

all feels a bit sad to me

He's thinking of bringing RVP to spurs with him?

Doubt it, I don't think RVP's ready to make that step down just yet...

I would draw the honourable gentleman's attention to the current premier league table.

LOL

anyway- re the RVP being seen at a game with Van Gaal in Holland. RVP is a Dutch international, Van Gaal is the Dutch International coach, RVP is receiving treatment at the Dutch Internationl HQ. Gawd bless tabloid journalism.

    • Post much better this Xmas.  Sue posted about whether they send Xmas cards; how good the post is,  is relevant.  Think I will continue to stay off Instagram!
    • These have reduced over the years, are "perfect" lives Round Robins being replaced by "perfect" lives Instagram posts where we see all year round how people portray their perfect lives ?    The point of this thread is that for the last few years, due to issues at the mail offices, we had delays to post over Christmas. Not really been flagged as an issue this year but I am still betting on the odd card, posted well before Christmas, arriving late January.
    • Two subjects here.  Xmas cards,  We receive and send less of them.  One reason is that the cost of postage - although interestingly not as much as I thought say compared to 10 years ago (a little more than inflation).  Fun fact when inflation was double digits in the 70s cost of postage almost doubled in one year.  Postage is not a good indication of general inflation fluctuating a fair bit.  The huge rise in international postage that for a 20g Christmas card to Europe (no longer a 20g price, now have to do up to 100g), or a cheapskate 10g card to the 'States (again have to go up to the 100g price) , both around a quid in 2015, and now has more than doubled in real terms.  Cards exchanged with the US last year were arriving in the New Year.  Funnily enough they came much quicker this year.  So all my cards abroad were by email this year. The other reason we send less cards is that it was once a good opportunity to keep in touch with news.  I still personalise many cards with a news and for some a letter, and am a bit grumpy when I get a single line back,  Or worse a round robin about their perfect lives and families.  But most of us now communicate I expect primarily by WhatApp, email, FB etc.  No need for lightweight airmail envelope and paper in one.    The other subject is the mail as a whole. Privitisation appears to have done it no favours and the opening up of competition with restrictions on competing for parcel post with the new entrants.  Clearly unless you do special delivery there is a good chance that first class will not be delivered in a day as was expected in the past.   Should we have kept a public owned service subsidised by the tax payer?  You could also question how much lead on innovation was lost following the hiving off of the national telecommunications and mail network.
    • Why have I got a feeling there was also a connection with the beehive in Brixton on that road next to the gym
