I can take it but that guy was in the wrong "my friend" and for the record I apologised to the guy because he, incorrectly assumed I accused him of being a a racist,info Keane is still and always will be a c**t. Why? Because he's thug, with a high opinion of himself, walking out of the Ireland camp during a World Cup supports that. Next? And as for your comment that it doesn't matter to you in the slightest, you're making a hell of a fuss for someone who does care either way, no? As dfor refelecting on the poster, suggest you take a look at your back catalogue.

Keane v Haland is a dubious one, it was a nasty tackle but Haland was already carrying an injury. In Keanes Bio it is stated it was revenge for Haland injuring Keanes crucuiate ligament some 4 years previous (United v Leeds) although Keane has stated his Ghost Writer added that bit (FA didn't accept that and gave extra 5 game ban and ?150,000 fine)

Do I like the man (not that any of you care!!!) No, as PD stated a thug

I mean he's an arrogant thug who seems to think he's better than those around him. His action in walking out on the Republic of Ireland because, if memory serves me right, he felt that the facilities provided such as hotels and flights weren't to his liking or up to his standard. That is breath takingly arrogant. Surely the pride of representing his country would have overridden such trifles? And the tiff with McAteer says a lot about the man.

Alan, do you not think it was very arrogant of him to walk out on the Republic a few years back becuase of his perceived lack of quality flights, accommodation,and as a result of his falling out with McCarthy? Would pride for representing your nation not override such matters?

Did anyone watch the Germany v Cameroon game the other night? A 2-2 draw. Very impressed with Cameroon. Pele once prophesised that one day an African team would win the World Cup. I think the climate in Brazil could be a real advantage to any team from Africa. Be good if one did in Pele's backyard. Make a change from the usual suspects and really brighten up the World Cup finals.


What are the odds on that?

This was written after Keane decided to stay. It's worth a read. What happened next was at a team meeting the manager brought up the article and asked Keane to explain certain things in front of the squad. If it wasn't for that Keame would have stayed but waving a red rag in front of him lit his short fuse and from all the accounts I've read he exploded into a 10 minute rant. Given the complex character Keane is, it probably wasn't McCarthy's best move unless he really wanted to get rid of him.


So all in all, I don't blame him for walking away.


On a lighter note I heard McAteer tell a story of what happened after the rant when Keane had left. It was completely silent for a while then McCarthy asked the group if anyone had anything to say. I think it was Dean Kiely the 3rd choice goalkeeper who put his his hand up. Yes Dean. Boss,if you need anyone to play in midfield I'd be happy to.

True - he's got a rival in Milner though.

Lambert, Ox and Barkely looked good for a while - don't mind losing the ball by trying to run 'em, always go again but they need like-minded support (they even woke Wilshere out of his coma for a spell)


Lampard just needs a rest say, 5 or 6 weeks.


Anyone know the point of having Flanagan and Stones come on as they're only on standby?

Lampard needs to be shown the door on the evidence of last night. And yet that august publicaton the Sun gave him MOTM!! What fcuking game did they watch? Ox was MOTM for me, Rooney was non existemt, Smalling and Jones were found wanting again and again. Woy obviously didn't do his homework, Ecuador have a good record coming into this competition and the England camp totally underestimated them. God helps us when the likes of Suarez,Cavani, Balotelli, Pirlo etc face up to us.

I can understand a Spurs fan thinking in such a parochial manner Jah but we are a European club and think outside our own league occasionally.

      Hi  My internet connection has dropped out for several hours a couple of times since Sunday (15th Feb). I’m with Sky and the engineer has been and replaced the connection and then booked an Openreach engineer who checked the line but at the time it was working. He said there had been several issues in our road (Oakhurst Grove) but was now fixed but this morning I’ve woken up to no internet again. Just wondered if anyone else is having the same problems.

      Green Party policy on driver behaviour: Default 20mph Speed Limits: The party supports making 20 mph the default speed limit in all residential areas. 40mph Speed Limits: Proposing a default 40 mph speed limit in non-residential areas, excluding major roads. Low Traffic Neighbourhoods (LTNs): Promoting the expansion of LTNs to reduce "rat-running" in residential areas. Ending Internal Combustion Engine Sales: A target to end the sale of new petrol and diesel vehicles by 2030. Environmental Charging: Implementing a Carbon Tax on fossil fuels to increase the cost of petrol and diesel, incentivizing a shift to electric vehicles or public transport. Prioritizing Active Travel: Shifting funding from road building to walking, cycling, and public transport infrastructure, aiming for 50% of trips in towns and cities to be made by these methods by 2030. Improved Driver Training: Supporting "eco-driving" techniques to reduce emissions and fuel usage.  Some of which is good, some unrealistic, and on driver behaviour doesn't go far enough. Difficult to summarise the Lib Dems position as it is a bit wishy washy wanting to appeal to both the eco warrior and the NIMBY.  Sadly I know people who are both! Labour (nationally) said that local measures are a local issue, which was quite sensible, after Sunak;s we are going to end the war on motorists last stand, but don't like upsetting hard working motorists for example chickening out on fuel duty rises.
