I was at Chelsea Arsenal today but to be honest I enjoyed the beers before and after the game more than the gane itself. A pub called the Jam Tree did the trick.

On the field Chelsea looked commanding in general and arsenal looked good sporadically.

"Uneasy" would be the best way to describe how I feel. To be fair though, I dont get to see any of the games here so I can only make a judgement on the results themselves. To be in sixth place in the league though is fairly damning. I would give him another 10 league games and if things dont change, i think the situation needs to be reviewed. I think Jackie McNamara could be a contender as replacement. Not sure John Collins was the best choice as assistant. He comes across as a self righteous "male chicken", actually Ronnie isnt too far behind him. Anyone who doesnt thinks chips are a great idea must be a bit suspect!

Bad day at the office for Arsenal weekend wasn't it - not only did we wearily predictably not match up to our supposed peers, but teams all around us jumped ahead of us

My favourite bit was towards the end when Wellbeck came in from right of screen like a Warner Brothers cartoon character and completely upended Fabregas. I almost hear the cartoon sounds in my head

Totally uncalled for and should have been a red of course

And not as bad as Cahill who wasn't shown a red card. As I've said before, Ozil ansd Sanchez are "nice to have" but there weren't priorities for us. We still need a world class CB, DMF, and striker. When we have those, maybe we'll make some progress. Or maybe when we get Debuchy, Giroud, and Walcott back, things may change.

Song has been decent for you but will turn into a liability, or non existent before too long, just as he did for us and Barca.

Maybe, but he's been immense. All over the pitch and he's not fully fit yet. My only critcism is that he's a bit too used to the better ball control of playing with Barcelona (ok...and Arsenal) so his distribution to our technically inferior players puts them under pressure :)

The football circus at the top is all pretty loathsome isn't it, and Liverpool are no worse than Chelsea, and their fans no worse (on the whole) than Man U, though there are of course lovely (misguided) people who support them, well here anyway.

I dunno, the closing ranks around suarez (several times) really irked though. Not a hint of 'hands up that's unsupportable, but he is good and you took on paulo after he pushed a referee, or bowyer twice depsite him being a racist thug' yeah fair point would have been my response. Nope, they defended and attacked and over a number of issues always the same.

ootball fans are hardly great representatives of anything, but my club right or wrong is as bad as my country right or wrong, well fair enough but i hope you lose....every...time....

Yeah, that was our FA Cup and it still hurts, but I didn't take it personally to Liverpool then, so it wasn't that.

I grant you you did exactly all the good things i described but then you're a nice intellignet person, exception rule bloke who is even willing on occassion to say liverpool were gash and deserved to lose, not a trait common amongst your fellow fans whereas it de rigeur as a west ham fan!! The Saurez racism thing was handled badly. The biting thing I'm not so sure about because I still think it's more funny than dangerous (but am not getting involved in that discussion again).

The article you posted above probably holds a lot of truths, but it defo reads like something written by someone with an axe to grind.

But they've been trying to move since I lived there, so something has clearly not gone well, and way before Hicks & Gillet came and made everything worse. New owners have inherited a shambles, and seem to be trying to resolve it, so am more sympathetic to them. Someone is always going to be unhappy.

Nice to get a win this weekend though.

The Suarez was handled extremely badly and why the club ever thought wearing T shirts in support of the player was a good idea only they will know. And don't forget the shirt burning when it was widely thought Stevie G was off to the chavs.Perhaps it's all part of that world famous scouse sense of humour.
