Cedges
Just stuck my head out and road looks to be open with 2 coppers walking along slowly. 2 police cars just drove up and onto north cross. How exciting for my first day week on the road. They left and I went outside. Both ends of Ulverscroft blocked off Dozens of Police. They asked me where Crystal Palace Rd. Was. Someone on Whateley was pointing down Ulverscroft . Police were asking what he looked like.. Never heard reply as Police told me to go inside as they were bringing in a Dog.. Dog stiffed out all the bins. No idea what had happened. Dulwich Squirrel
Why would this thread make you laugh? An odd response to something potentially serious. ksh
Apparently there was a burglary on crystal palace road and they jumped over the garden fence on to ulverscroft (down the side passage half way down the road). Jeremy
Yeah, exactly! I'll certainly avoid that area from now on, especially if I'm on my own. Thanks for the warning. HonaloochieB
Oh, how disappointing , I thought the thread title was indicating a permanent bricking up of the place, and not before time, thought I.But it seems they're allowed out again. Wouldn't happen in a proper police state but you vote for nanny, this is what'll happen. I mean, have you ever met an Ulverscoftian? You haven't? Well done. Keep it up.For the time being to all those 'in the know' keep an eye on them, they bear watching. DulwichFox
Funny how Ulverscroft seems to be the Top Spot for people to Park their cars when they venture out for their weekly Hog Roast or Dog Roll. Also having no side roads it is the favourite 'Drag Strip' 24/7. Perhaps we SHOULD close both ends to non residents. KidKruger
Actually I think Fellbrigg is top spot, Ulverscroft is for those whose can't find anywhere decent to park. Why would anyone heading to market leave there car by choice on such a rough street ?!
