e_elena
Hi Can anybody recommend or may know somebody who would recommend a dancing school for young children, please. My 3 year old loves music. Since newborn we have been singing a lot for him and put a lot of music on. He has got his fovourites now which we have to put on and on. He dances for us and starts to sing and he is so funtastic doing it and enjoys it so much I wouldn't like to waste it. As there is so many dancing schools around I would like to have an idea and would prefer personal recommendations. I have heard that there is one good school in Bromley??? But unsure which one is it.ThanksElena Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35689-dancing-school-for-3-year-old-any-recommendation-please/ Share on other sites
j-mo
There are a few dance sessions round here for toddlers like diddi dance and boogie mites. Not dance schools but fun dance based activity anyway Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35689-dancing-school-for-3-year-old-any-recommendation-please/#findComment-673454 Share on other sites
Mfichardt
My 3 yo daughter goes to South London Dance Studios in Herne Hill and loves it. It looks quite serious when they get older but at this stage they're just having fun ... http://www.southlondondancestudios.co.uk Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35689-dancing-school-for-3-year-old-any-recommendation-please/#findComment-673554 Share on other sites
Suzanne Cummings
I would recommend Little Gems on Saturday mornings at Sydenham High. Lovely teachers, very low key & a mini show for parents at the end of each term. BellendenBear
Theatre Peckham do classes for age 3 and up on Saturday mornings. He would probably like their musical theatre class which is singing and dancing and has a mix of girls and boys. Grotty
I was also going to say Theatre Peckham - lots to choose from: ballet, tap, musical theatre for 3 year olds with street dance and drama for older kids.My 3 year old started ballet with them in April and loves it!http://courses.theatrepeckham.co.uk/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/35689-dancing-school-for-3-year-old-any-recommendation-please/#findComment-674675 Share on other sites
oimissus
can I ask - those who's children do a Saturday class, do they mind or is it a problem if you miss a class? Theatre Peckham would be good for us, but what with family visits and other things, I can't see us not missing the odd class here or there. Nyree
McAlpine Dance Studio has a class for 2-3 year olds called "Start To Dance" 1.30 on Mondays. Incorporates dance and nursery rhymes and prepares children for Pre-Primary Ballet.
