I’m enjoying the ED Grove LTN, lovely to cycle and walk in, may it stay closed permanently 😆. When Thames thieving Water finally complete the urgent works (hole in the road and no work going on all today), take care if on a bike or motorbike as the flooding has caused very dangerous potholes.

There are also really bad pitted holes further up near the school and hospital - mainly in the areas cyclists use near the pavement. I have no idea why the pavement and road surfaces of this road used by so many children walking and cycling to school is so poorly served by whoever is responsible for maintenance.
A note to all the people driving up to the barrier and forced to do a u-ey,  when there are 4 x road closed signs….. maybe the road is closed. Doh!

EAST DULWICH GROVE, SE22: ROUTE 37 is on diversion in both directions via Red Post Hill, Denmark Hill, Champion Park, Grove Lane, Dog Kennel Hill and Grove Vale due to Thames Water works taking place at East Dulwich Grove

Look on the bright side. More buses between Denmark hill and Goose green

 HA! If only . . .

The other night I took the 37 from Herne Hill to Goose Green, only it was diverted via Denmark Hill.

That would have been ok, except when the driver reached the junction for Denmark Hill she wasn't allowed to turn right as there were road works on Dog Kennel Hill starting at 8pm and all buses were being diverted via Camberwell Church St and Rye Lane.

I got off there at Kings College Hospital, as I figured it was closer to home than Peckham . . .

Still good for my step count I suppose.

    • Another recommendation for Niko. Great communication, top guy, and super reliable and skilled - all at a fair price. Takes a lot of care in what he does and talks you through everything.
    • Some foxes are very tame. The foxes that live near the electricity sub-station thing on the corner of Calton and Woodwarde will happily walk up to you/passed you. They are some of the best looking foxes around so clearly being well-fed - glorious coats and bushy tails but interested in humans and keen to engage/be fed rather than being scared.
    • Let’s not all get scared of the foxes now. Most likely explanation is protecting its den or association with food. We have foxes, and cats and they are no bother to each other. The fox will leave when the cats are out.
