seriously quids?

fair enough if that's your impression but... look back at the poster in question: the prevailing attitude was one of 'superiority' towards the majority of posters on this forum (whether they be regulars, 'cliquers', infrequent posters, one-offs or not). It was quite often, disingenuous and dishonest too.

First time I plucked up the courage to post on here, I was taken to task by one of the moderators who didn't happen to share my view. But you know, you move on, you don't call 'clique' and....you might find you can respect people's differing viewpoints, even those that *shock horror* may be diametrically opposed to yours.

Something, I'm afraid, certain posters could not.

dunno about TLS as before my time but who on here genuinely likes 'piling in' using 'for safety in numbers' as a reason for that? I'd like to think people don't need to do that.

don't get what you mean by 'post not poster'. calling forumites a 'don't know any better' or 'nasty piece of work' etc and talking down to them didn't endear them to many, absolutely no co-operation involved in individuals' response to that.

(that's the ones that were 'brave' enough to respond, others may have been put off, more's the pity).

    • It wasn't me who started the thread! Monica no longer lives locally. I've given my opinion, and so have others, which is that it should remain  a community notice board. If you think it's better used for commercial purposes, good luck to you with organising that and deciding who gets priority.  If local businesses have "little to no marketing budget", as you say in  another post above, they surely should have taken that into account before deciding to start up a business which needs marketing other than just having a shop front and/or posting on free  places like this forum?
    • Elise babysat for me at short notice when I had to travel, looking after my two boys.  Good communication, kept me updated, all went very smoothly and no complaints from the boys. Highly recommend.
    • He supported it, but if residents voted against it he would respect that.  Many of the CPZs round here were implemented after he left and Labour took over.
    • James Barber was very involved. I do though recall he was a big supporter of CPZ so am interested to understand his thinking on these locally, plus LTN, now, and how much heed he would take of majority opposition to implementation, as has been the case recently?
