I think it’s due to hold the school reception/office, drama & music classrooms, a new  library and SEN and autism unit.

It is good they kept the old Chateau building, especially as this isn’t a  listed building, so would have been much quicker to bulldoze the lot.

My kids tell me the Library is due to move in soon so I imagine the whole thing will be functioning by September.

Keeping the central Chateau building was always part of the idea when we launched the campaign for a new secondary school in 2013. Adds quick gravitas to the school.

We also hope the children would access via those main doors to help make their school feel extra special.

I agree,  but if this was to be the main entrance/exit the road outside would need to be much safer,  with new crossings and widened pavements etc.

It's been a long journey but it does look good

    • Hello.   Thanks Nigel and Hparker 😀   I've got new slots available for new students looking for a piano teacher or guitar teacher.   You could start in the new term beginning September, or I'm also available adhoc-styles through the summer holidays at times.   I teach all ages, in most styles, in lots of different ways according to how you learn/like to learn.   Give me a call or text on 07730 402336.   I have connections to lots of performance opportunities/networks too.   I run regular events /student concerts, and play in bands/perform.   Natalie.
    • So do I, but I think they are in trouble as well.  Anyway, that space wouldn't be big enough.
    • I'm not talking about Starmer. I was responding to a post which  said that  Corbyn was unelectable. How people voted in the "more hotly contested election" is irrelevant. Corbyn wasn't leading the Labour Party then. Starmer was. And the turnout for Labour reflects that.
