Bit disapponted with this thread, thought it would receive more guesses and certainly receive a lot more witty and funny replies (look at the thread "location location location in ED "). Where have all the "sharp" folks of ED gone?

Anyway, the prize for humour would go to AcedOut if the joke had been written properly, you should have started it - Hugh - so, close but no cigar. Well done Steveo for being correct. Just trying to show that famous ED residents past and present doesn't just extend to Jo Brand and James Nesbitt!!!!!!!!!!!!

The "lacking humour"comment not directed at you Steveo as you had the correct answer.Didn't think of a prize. R U a Quo fan?

How about Michael Caine as answer to your poser.

    • Most of the groceries shops in Lordship Lane have a security presence…curious thing is I and another woman recently saw a shop lifter lift and not pay for a couple of packet of steaks, veg and bottle of wine..  Literally walked Pat the tills, one member of staff and security guard despite someone else going in front by a few people and mentioning person in question! I have to say, speechless and admired their bravado - I would not have the guts and knowing my luck, if I accidentally didn’t put something tru the till despite receipt would prob get stopped! Yes, worked with families, homeless and other people who were struggling for food so I do understand why they do it.. sad when you think about it, that in this day and age, all sorts of c people need assistance and help from community in general, food banks, olio etc….
