Just wanted to let you know about a new monthly guide to everything artsy in Peckham, Dulwich, Nunhead and Brockley.

The Peckham List is an illustrated newsletter sent to your inbox at the beginning of every month with a guide to the best up-coming theatre, art, film, music, photography and literary events in this corner of the capital.

We're hoping The List will help local artists, musicians and creative venues spread the word, and ensure that you - and us! - never miss out on some of the amazing things happening on our doorstep.

The Peckham List is being launched next week, but you can subscribe now at www.thepeckhamlist.com

Hi PN33

Thanks for the reply. Glad you like the idea!

Sorry for the glitch - the email box seems to be working ok in Firefox at this end, so I'm not sure what's happened. If you're still having problems, PM me with your email address and I'll add you to the subscription list.

Could be something to do with Firefox at work, it's a bit glitchy sometimes and I can't update the settings. No worries, I have signed up using Chrome. When will the first newsletter be going out? I have friends over tomorrow and wait with baited breath to find out some cool stuff you've found!

PN33 - The first newsletter is due out this weekend, but for something to try today, how about some live bluegrass with brunch and Bloody Marys at LOT. 9 in Peckham Rye? http://lot9peckham.tumblr.com/

a_m - I hope you managed to access the site. It all looks good in Chrome and Explorer at this end...

Have a good weekend everyone!

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
    • Perry Bamonte from The Cure.. Just 65 years old.
