I'm so glad the Plex is my local and not the Ritzy. ?4.99 a ticket, as opposed to ?11.50, it's a no-brainer. Also some of the Ritzy screens are ridiculously tiny, the queuing system chaotic, I hardly ever go there anymore. Long may the Plex remain, one of the last few independently owned cinemas in London

I only found out recently that the whole building used to be a Sainsburys. Closed early 90s. I'd wondered for a while why there was an unused multi-story car park above it.

The ritzy used to be my local back in the 90s,my flatmate used to work there so we got discount. Give me Peckhamplex anyday, love that cinema. Used to go there every week when I lived nearby, sadly missed, you jammy gits have it on your doorstep :(
