version 2 was buggy and leaky as hell

version 3 was realeased a couple of weeks ago and is looovely!

I'm using Opera but prefer firefox.

Thanks chaps, I've downloaded version 3. I'm not sure if it is that's the problem. For example as I'm tyoing this the text is coming out really slowly sometimes and other times it's normal speed. It's like there's something running in the background slowing everything down. Also my screensaver keeps crashing and the computer won't shut down, I have to switch it off manually. aaagh

virgin /ntl told me that it wasnt a compatible server to their new system. They advised me to change to internet explorer. Please dont ask me any questions as I know pretty much nowt, just saying what they said!.

Tillie: Firefox (a browser, not a server) is compatible with virgin. I'm on virgin and have been using it for ages with no trouble. Just in case you fancy giving it a go...

Version 3 is very good.

I'm not even sure it's possible for a browser to be incompatible with an ISP's service...

I use Firefox at home (IE is just a waste of time and effort).

I did have issues with it conflicting wiv my, at the time, virus/firewall programme. I removed both and reinstalled Friefox and it works fine now. It actually works much better and I dont end up shouting at the PC as much these days :)

I am quite honestly repeating what the guy told me when my internet was disrupted a month or so ago so that they could do an upgrade (or something!).

Even Dell computers' helpline (half way across the world) can't answer a simple q of "has my hard drive just blown up" so getting help from an ISP... hehe ur asking for trouble ;-)

I am a long time firefox user. There re one or two issues with version 3. I have had to go to Internet Explorer to order my shopping because the pages either come out as gobbledgook or are not as they should be in other ways.

I remember being told that web developers design pages to work with IE mostly and as such actually have errors which show up in other browsers such as Firefox.

I am sad enough that I downloaded my certificate for being part of the World record download which has been offic**lly recognised!
