gladtobehere
I've grown up in and around East Dulwich and have seen the area change before my very eyes. One place however that never looked very inviting (at least to me) was The Plough and I mean the pub not the area. My opinion of this place has drastically changed and I really do urge you to try it out for yourself if you haven't already. The current manager is doing an excellent job of making it a friendly, inviting place to drink and to eat. Everyone who works there is accomodating and genuinely kind. My partner and I recently organised a little party in the pub and it went incredibly smoothly. The food was great, the service was great and the general ambiance was fantastic - Thank you very much and good luck with all your future plans! bcam
YEah, I second that. Luckily, it's our local. The staff are friendly, the beer selection is great and the food is really good. Good, but competitive pub quiz on a Thursday too. raebel281
I've noticed that too! Me and my flatmates went there once maybe four years ago, dull, dreary and the ales tasted off.We avoided it for ages but went in at the start of the Summer on a friends recommendation and got chatting to the new landlady. The staff all changed, the service improved, the food wait times improved (and lots of other pub related things that I didn't quite understand :P). Really nice service! Great chat! esme
I also held a family "do" there and cdnt recommend it more highly - food wasn't cheap but huge portions (there was lots leftover), very efficient, helpful and friendly staff, cdnt ask for more!
