I thought the point was that you were neither stopped, partked NOR waiting - you were in a line of traffic that was stationary for a period. You hadn't stopped; you hadn't parked; and if I understand it, you weren't waiting (e.g. for someone to come out of a shop). If you were just in a traffic queue, you should take it further.

What were the exact words on the PCN of the alleged contravention?

Would you like to append a copy of the photograph to a post here? It could be edited to paint over number plates or faces?

How did you appeal?- first stage is by phone or online with only a chance of a brief explanation- they never listen at this stage.

stage two is to fill out appeal form they send you and append letter giving full details etc

Stage three is in front of a independent assessor who WILL listen to reason

Please DO appeal - this fine is just daft- I am happy to advise on appeal as I have been successful several times ( not of course when its a fair cope, if you are even two minute late returning to a meter its your fault so of course i would shut up and pay )

Don't let them do whatever they want! Re-appeal!

I had an unjustified ticked.

My appeal was rejected, last chance for me was to

attend a hearing in lslington. Had all the warnings

about extra costs ect. A lawyer grilled me but figured out

the ticket was completely unjustified and unlawful.

Southwark will try and fine everyone for everything.

    • There was something to do a with a gate in the Brockwell case, I can't recall the detail, but the council removed a gate, which had been gifted in trust to the park, so the festival builders could allow access, or something. And that was illegal and that's what enabled Rylance et al to litigate.
    • How long is the Gala, and potential new event, disruption….this could be key from the article on the High Court challenge against Lambeth…   Under permitted development rules, a temporary change of use is allowed for a total of 28 days each calendar year, but the Brockwell Park festivals run over 37 days and were due to begin on 23 May.
    • Try the castle upstairs, you'd need to buy a few drinks in return.  @Suecan you advise?  It will be in use some Mondays no doubt
    • Yes, I was bemused to see that notice in Barry Road. It seemed a strange place to be having a drop off point.
