Scooter cover

I've been told that scooters are less likely to be stolen if you use a cover. However, someone has taken a shine to the covers I buy for my scooter and keeps stealing them.

I suppose I should be grateful that they're only stealing the cover and leaving my scooter alone, but the most recent cover only lasted 1 week before it was stolen again.

Can anyone recommend a cover that's a bit harder for someone to tea leaf?

A shitty old tarp, bungied-on provides an 'unappealing lift' (in both senses).

I had a partially rotten, slightly oily treated-canvas one which did the trick for many years. It was weighty but floppy - and didn't rustle like a giant crisp packet and blow about in the wind the way the plazzy ones do.

I used to use an old green bike cover on my bike and used padlocks in the eyelets to secure it.

Mine has a couple of openings to put a chain through on its way to the front wheel. Still here, even though I don't actually use this feature.
