Michael Palaeologus
It should be a little quieter than normal because the summer hols will have started, just how quiet however, is another question! Hannah6_6
It probably won't be that busy, either would be OK, trains have been a bit quieter this week, I sometimes get the 8.41 and it's generally OK. Ladygooner
I always get a seat on the 8.05 and the 8.15 so I am sure you will be Ok on the 8.41 - best to head for the back of the train though Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3840-841am-train-to-lb/#findComment-120516 Share on other sites
Strawbs
Perfect!! thank you... I normally get the 7.51 and find that's fine so long as you are prepared to stand.. Got a blissful seat on the 7.29 this morning but was dreading being a sardine on the 8.41 tomorrow.. Marmora Man
Strawbs,Ever considered cycling? ED to Can Wharf about 40 mins (maybe less if you're really fit), mostly flat. You always have a seat, get lots of fresh air, its cheaper than a gymn, improves cardio fitness, tones up thighs and calves and is way cheaper and more pleasant than public transport. I'm up to 3 x week instead of bus / train - in this weather it's far better than being slowly broiled in the sardine like company of too many others.Lots of advice on best routes on the forum. One of a number of threads below.Cycle Routes Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3840-841am-train-to-lb/#findComment-120525 Share on other sites

capt_birdseye
Everyone packs on to the 8.35, meaning you can pretty much guarantee getting a seat on the 8.41. 8.56 is a little bit busier, but you can usually get a seat. ClareC
8.41 is not packed, even at the popular "front end" there are even odd seats available! You can guarantee a seat further back :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/3840-841am-train-to-lb/#findComment-120537 Share on other sites
