Bumbo International has determined that there is a potential safety issue with the original bumbo.

This can be corrected in the home by adding a restraint belt.

You can request this for free by emailing [email protected]

I just emailed them and they just asked for the delivery address :)

How to install the belt?

I have used a bumbo chair for my now 11 month daughter for the past 6 months, we have never had a restraint and she has never managed to tip or get out of the seat on her own due to its moulded shape.

I think the scare was that a baby would tip it over whilst on a high surface I don't think a restraint would stop this, i would just never leave her in it unattended on a high surface!

I think the ability to get out Is really child dependent, my first couldn't get out of the bumbo at all, my second is an effective vaulter despite the moulded shape. It's a risk it can and does happen and the restraint strap may help with this problem. I think putting them on high surfaces is a massive risk having seen how easily some children can get out of them.

    • I thought the most they sell in terms of hot food at londis is like pastries and sausage rolls and for hot drinks its like costa coffee but its always a convenience store. Doesn’t look too bad in my opinion considering that shop has been closed down ever since i moved here
    • Hi Busterb, Yesterday I turned up with a scanner & towels, hoping to take a deceased tabby down to TNV. The body was moved moments before arrival & had not been turned in to any vets, rescues or animal hospitals. I am wondering if this could have been the same cat & if someone just tried to move the tabby further away from the road. Please be warned, viewers discretion is advised. but this is what the deceased tabby looked like: https://www.facebook.com/groups/900015513463302/permalink/3729980853800073/  In any case, if you haven't been able to get someone to scan or take down to a vet, I can scan tomorrow morning.
    • Wholeheartedly recommend Aria. He was polite, responsive and sorted our leak, from an old tap on an old plumbing system, with no bother and on same day.
    • GP not willing to refer you on? Say, to King's or similar. Odd
