Most schools run a breakfast club and after school club for wraparound care to help working parents. As a guide I can drop my daughter off at breakfast club from 8am and she is provided with a hot breakfast. Breakfast club is ?2.50 per day. After school club provides tea and is open until 6pm and costs ?9 per day.

i've asked a friend's nanny - who already looks after my friends 2 children and takes them to school - to take my daughter also from 8.20-9am- ie basically walk her to school with the other 2 - she'll be all ready to go and we'll drop her at their house. I've offered ?5 a day for this (on top of what they pay her )- is that fair? i've basically offered what we would pay at breakfast club (which is full) .

After years of 'nagging' by myself and our daughters, we may have cured hubby of spending £4 plus on individual cards for our immediate family  ( when you have 12 immediate family it costs a bomb) Also as the girls state, they get put in the recycling bad at beginning of January regardless of cost.
    • There was a LETS scheme in ED and it ran for a couple of years or so. Trying to remember when it was pre 2000?  A couple of friends joined it, one did baby sitting for exchange for ironing, the other did small painting jobs or simple gardening. There was a set criteria regarding credits,
