Recommended children's entertainer: Tricky Toby

Tricky Toby is a magician who just gave a great performance at my daughter's sixth birthday party, keeping a dozen little girls entertained with his charming hour-long magic act.

Toby took the time to let each child have a picture taken with his white rabbit, and presented my daughter with a nice magician's assistant certificate at the end. He made her birthday party very memorable. Highly recommended, his website is here: http://www.trickytoby.co.uk/

Can I ask how much? Recently looked into a party at The Golden Hinde. Twenty kids ?360 no food included. Still not managed to pick my jaw up off the floor! Hence looking for alternatives!

We used Toby a couple of years ago for a 5th birthday party, and I agree, he is excellent. From memory he was around ?150ish, but I could be mistaken. Nowhere near the Golden Hinde amount, that's outrageous!

?130 for an hour show, which was perfect. We cooked our own food!

Definitely suitable for 4 years old, we had Toby for my daughters 4th and she still speaks about him. I would highly recommend Toby as well, he kept 25 children occupied for 2 hours.

is ?150 the going rate for an hour?? Not sure if it's my innate Scottishness but I'm finding it h ard to swallow! Planning on doing a home based thing similar to you Pickle but bit tricky as my son's guest list is running into 30s at the moment...

If I remember it correctly fee is for two hours party time, and also Toby came earlier, set up everything etc, so was at our house for over 3 hours ... All included in price,

Hey Belle, we just used him for our recent 4th bday and it was ?130 for an hour's show on a Fri (not sure if midweek prices are different). In actual fact the show was probably slightly over an hour and he didn't charge extra for set up time etc. We thought he was great, and his pricing does seem to be standard. If you're really having 30 kids, then it seems like a small price to pay for keeping them all out of trouble for an hour!

We had Tricky Toby for my son's 4th birthday - he was great! On special request, we asked for the last 15 mins to be balloon modelling which the kids loved. He was very good. We had him for one hour on a Saturday afternoon - and paid about 150 for that hour. I would also say he stayed for slightly over.
