Quaywe
Cllr Richard Thomas is fighting to keep ED classed as "Suburban". Mayor Ken wants it re-classified as "Urban". The impact of this would be the ability for developers to build 5-6 story structures in ED rather than the max 2-3 stories allowed now. There is a petition if you would like to support it: http://campaigns.libdems.org.uk/southwarkissuburbanMore info on Cllr Richard Thomas' Blog: http://cllrrthomas.wordpress.com/ Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/399-keep-ed-suburban-sign-the-petition/ Share on other sites
Keef
Wouldn't mind some higher buildings if some of them where "affordable housing". However, all it would mean would be more and more tall developments going up, and more and more money for the developers! bald marauder
My name's already on there - I think opening up electronic forms of access and participation will do politics the world of good... buggie
Have signed up as feel this is very important, however bit confused with the statement that only 2-3 story buildings would be allowed as there are already buildings taller than this in the area (eg the flats at LL end of Friern Rd). I thought the urban thing would mean buildings taller than 5-6 stories could be built and suburban up to 5-6 stories.
